=First...it was only a mummer...traveling quietly and seemingly from over a very long distance across a cosmos of different sounds and feelings to both of those who had just slipped the veil into Naraka. Then - it started to become evident at that point that at least one of them would not be getting much time to rest and recover after their arrival here. The sound traveled in double pace - one deep slam followed by a sharper second slam and the rumbling started to approach them both quicker and quicker becoming more and more intense. Had one payed attention to the rocks that were upon the ground they would find that whatever it was that had been traveling in their direction to this point must have been coming in high number and with great robust force for the pebbles on the ground were rattling and shaking bouncing off the ground each time that it came closer. Soon the moment would be upon them - the trail that had been bashed out pointed from north to south and if you were to look towards the south you would feast your eyes upon what seemed to be a bouncing wave of blue. This was what was known as potbelly ogre. The locals had called them - the potbelly for short. It had been spoken of before that they usually run in groups - and it would seem that they would be up to that standard in full force, spotting the Haruno male down the way and making a B-line for him. They lead with their feet and propelled themselves forward towards him on their fists like monkey as they approach. Soon there would be only one option left for the pink haired male and had they wanted to be safe - the younger Hyuga as well if they wanted to survive....work together - and run.=

Valkerie stood, testing his ankle once more. finding that the pain had lessened greatly, as if he hadn't been injured in the first place. He looked to the sky and that was when he saw it, the body of another - falling through the sky. That brought him to the conclusion that he wasn't alone in this place. That was when he noticed the pebbles on the ground began to move. There was a vibration in the earth around him, followed by the sound of feet pounding on the dirt, turning his head to check his surroundings once more he was greeted with a wave of - what are those things?! - His own thoughts became intrusive as he could see that there were more then just one. He started off with a light jog in the direction of the other male, the jog became a sprint and while he began to focus his chakra into the soles of his shoes, his speed greatly increased and soon he was leaping off the bamboo, using his chakra control to not break the bamboo, it wouldn't be long until he reached the place where the other male had landed, leaping passed him only to catch a glimpse of Konoha's headband. It was in this passing moment, that the pink haired male reached with an out stretched hand and yelled over the thunderous sound of feet pounding away at the dirt "Get up!!"

A soft groan of pain rumbled in the young shinobi's throat as he pulled himself to his feet. It hurt to move his abdomen, while his breathing seemed to be strained as well. Chances were his clone managed to bruise a lung, but before he could really think on that much further- something disturbing happened. The rocks around him started to move, and before the young Hyuga even realized it, his Byakugan activated. His eyes snapped straight to the source of the stampede, and upon seeing what looked like monsters, the man's stomach dropped. Not only were these some sort of Oni maybe? He could see the chakra twirling in their stomachs, and he didn't want to know what they could do with that.. Just as he was pulling his vision back to his own location, he caught a glimpse of something peculiar. it looked as though the bamboo itself was flowing with chakra. Just what was this place?

Before he could make much sense of anything, he heard a voice call out to him, and that was when he finally focused on his immediate area. His eyes caught sight of shinobi attire, and judging by the panic in the male's voice, along with the extended hand, he decided this was perhaps someone he could trust for now. Itsuki made a single step towards the stranger, and in that moment a thought crossed his mind. Even if they sprinted at full speed, he doubted they could outrun these demons. He wondered if the stranger even knew what was coming for them.

"I hope you know some large scale jutsu," he called out to the stranger, turning towards the approaching monsters. They needed something to slow them down, if not stop them all together. After taking a moment to muster up a great deal of chakra Itsuki strung together a few hand signs, including multiple instances of Ram, Tiger, Dog and Snake, finally introducing Bird at the very end, slamming his palms into the ground to finish it off. Ahead of them- it appeared as though nothing had changed, and with the Ogres shaking the very ground around them, it was even harder to notice the fact that the earth nearby shifted. In a ten meter box directly in front of the male- a large chunk of earth and stone had suddenly been removed, leaving behind a very thin layer of earth at the top which was bound to give way once a great deal of weight was added to it. When the male finished with the bird sign- the empty void was then filled with sharp spikes infused with his chakra.

The jutsu took an obvious toll on the male, leaving him slightly winded and light headed. He wasn't used to using this jutsu on such a large scale, but this wasn't a time to take a rest. "If it's us they're hunting- they're about to fall into a big trap. Don't walk forward from where I'm standing- the ground's really unstable." With that, he rose to his feet, focusing what little chakra he could muster down to his legs and feet. "If you have anything to take any of them out during that time, great, if not, let's get going," he didn't wait for the stranger's answer, the red head taking off- heading north east while using his sight to scout ahead for any trouble.

=During the moment that the pink haired male started to dart off through the forest the hoard of ogre would notice the sudden quick movement running off. Food, it was the only thing on their mind at this point and the way that these beasts hunted was if you were in this forest and smaller then them - then you were food; simple as that. The crowd redirected to make pursuit of the male when it came to the moment that he started to pass a younger Hyuuga shinobi. His jutsu was initiated, and it did indeed come to fruition as the pack of ogre came towards the area that was thin and set for the trap and most certainly - applied significant weight to the effected area. They started to tumble in and fall over the top of each other, some hitting spikes and breaking them - landing on their chakra filled pot-bellies. There was even some that threw themselves in - seeing that their kin were dying and looking to cannibalize the remaining corpse - not alive means no use and there was no point in wasting a potential meal. However to their dismay there was the exception of two, which used their skewered brethren as a platform, landing on them and then lunging up and out with increased momentum - now ravenously coming charging at the two. They were fast for their size, and even faster now that they were emboldened by the fall of their brethren. The two fleeing the scene would find that the longer they went along, the smaller the gap between the two would have become. Then suddenly it happened. If they were to take a moment to notice as they were running away - there came a moment upon the ground where they would pass a single person whom simply stood there in the forest watching. As they came to pass him it would be apparent that he was muttering something under his breath: "Saru-Nei, Saru-Tatsu, Saru-Nei, Saru-Su, Saru-Nei, Saru-Tatsu, Saru-nei..." As they passed him. When it came to the point that the ogre were starting to get close to him there started to resonate from his body a silver lightning. But it radiated in a very odd manner - in the way that smoke would peel up off a skillet. The lightning would roll off his body and up into the air and then certain sparks and such would rotate around his body and linger on his being. His hands were wide and between each finger was a web of lightning - it was as if the man was a tesla coil of sorts. Upon his shoulder would seem to be a small fox. The creature was focused on the ogre and did nothing more then focus upon them: "You'd best pop off Jizo. May be a bumpy one." And as he said such sure enough the fox popped off of his shoulder and onto the ground. The moment that he was now free of his companion he drew a Kunai from his waist - adorned with what seemed to be altered Hiraishin sealing upon it, and from that point he was off - running straight towards the ogre. As he made it about half way he tossed the kunai up in the air and jumped straight towards the ogre that was more so to the left, his body sparked with the silver lightning from before as he balled a fist - and in doing so he punched straight at the ogre's chest in such a fashion that about half way through the motion of the punch going off one would hear a high impact sound as if a railgun going off and an even louder smash once he made contact with his target. As he did such the ogre went down - but not before wrapping his left hand around the entirety of the silver haired male's body. As he did this the opposite ogre started to turn and capitalize on his kin's grasp of the male when the kunai started to finally tumble down behind him. Just as the ogre was fully committed to the attack the snow haired male was gone in a silver flash. Behind the ogre there was a splitting sound and from above him the male could be seen going upwards - having used the silver lightning in tandem with the kunai from before to increase its cutting ability and uppercut the ogre's spinal column - obliterating it and soaring off into the air before the blood would spill out and tinge the ground. As he flew off and into the air he would christen the apex of his ascension with a back flip, coming to land a bit in front of where the ogre's corpses were now and looking at the direction the two were going. The fox came back around and jumped up his uniformed leg and landed on his shoulder looking out at them as well, whether they had continued going or stopped. "That's where I had seen the near village before. Do you think they're from here? Maybe they live in the village?" But the snow haired male remained silent...he doubted it. He saw their features - one was a Haruno, very apparent by his hair and the other was a Hyuuga - a clan that he knew by association was a Konoha native as well. Never the less, he started to walk forward in silence - that village would be his next destination no matter what had happened nor whether or not they were from there or not. As well, it was certain that this forest was a hostile area...he handled these ogre with relative ease but he wasn't the type to go taking needless risks in the moment.=

Following his for-the-moment ally, Valkerie took note of the males apparent fatigue as they moved through the bamboo forest together. He could hear the pitfall and the crushing of weight upon bones. He took a moment to look behind him and see the feast that lay before him, but his emerald hues also caught sight of two more ogres charging in on them and they were closing in fast. Valkerie began to form the necessary hand seals for a lightning style jutsu but stopped short upon passing another figure, where had they come from? In his distraction he almost fell over his own two feet. Turning sharp on his heels to face the newcomer, to his own horror and satisfaction, the newcomer had obliterated the two ogres that were chasing him, clearly this man was packing some serious chakra usage - and to the Harunos mis-knowledge on the male and his current fatigued partner Itsuki. Valkerie stopped in his tracks, just off to the left of Itsuki and began digging around in two of the pouches on his hip. Once he was done doing so he produced six round shaped pills, three that were red in color and three that were blue in color.

"Normally I don't like sharing my emergency rations but.." Valkerie offered up one of each pill to the duo. "Chakra and Food Pills, they'll help restore you a little bit and give us some energy to press forward." Valkerie was now assuming that they would now travel in a pack, after all there was safety in numbers and he was also getting a vibe from the third party that they knew more about this place, and Valkerie wanted answers.

While Itsuki was relieved that his Jutsu succeeded, watching the ogres cannibalize themselves was a true horror to witness, and to top it all off, there were two that seemed more intelligent than the rest, not only using their fallen comrades as platforms, but also continuing on ahead rather than taking advantage of the easy meal. That fact sent a chill down his spine, warning him that they were likely more dangerous as well. While he was pleased with his choice on a head start, it didn't take him long to notice the fact that the distance between them was closing in, and while he wanted to spur himself on and go faster, his legs were already feeling like giving out. If only he wasn't training before this.

Just as Itsuki willed himself to turn around and face the incoming threats, they passed by a strange man who was muttering to himself, a strange fox on his shoulder. He wanted to call out in warning, tell the man to run and save himself, but just as he took in a breath, he felt a sharp pain from the strain the cardio had put on his bruised lung. He could only watch in dread and guilt as the Ogres descended upon the man, ready to taste their meal at last.

The young Hyuga's eyes widened with awe and bewilderment as lightning began crackling off of the stranger, assuming that the accompanied steam was simply the lightning frying the moisture in the air. His well trained eyes couldn't help but be captivated by what he was seeing, the way he concentrated and condensed his chakra to explode into his punch, and the damage it did. He wasn't sure if any of his own jutsu were capable of such an impact. He felt a spine chill as the masked man was grappled by the fallen Ogre, but before he could do anything, the man vanished into thin air, and only moments later, the Ogre went flying, blood raining down. Even with his eyes, he couldn't entirely understand how the man managed to just vanish into thin air, but the technique did remind him of tales of the Fourth Hokage. He wondered if they knew eachother.

As his newfound companion offered him a set of food and chakra pills, it brought Itsuki back into reality, reminding him that he was a part of the ongoing events, and not just observing from afar. He gave the pink haired male a small smile, taking the chakra pill while holding a hand over his left rib. "Thank you," he spoke honestly, gulping it down without hesitation. While he didn't normally trust strangers, the current circumstances demanded he did so. Besides, if these two meant him harm, he wasn't in any state to put up a decent fight either way.

He noticed the masked man was making his way over to the two, and while taking a moment to catch his breath, he let his Byuakugan drop, feeling the immediate threat had been taken care of, and that at the very least, this new presence was capable of handling himself. Hopefully the same could be said about the pink haired man. "To be honest, you both kind of saved my hide. Do... either of you know where we are? Sad to say that I have zero clue of how I got here," He was observing their immediate surrounding with his regular eyes, narrowing them towards the bamboo out of suspicion. Why did they have chakra in them? Why had he never heard of this place before? Running thoughts were a curse to have.

=There was still an ever slight bit of the lightning reiatsu stemming from his body as he was approaching them. It was hard at times to get it to settle back down after he finished using it but it was well set by the time that he finally got to the point that they were in conversational range. The man's hair radiated in the pale moonlight as he looked between the two of them, one offering chakra pills and food pills and using terminology such as "press forward" and the other blatantly asking where they were...and even still this one was young - he was just a kid..His lips could be somewhat seen through a small hole in the mask - it could be made out that at this point he somewhat frowned in not only agitation but shock. This place was nowhere for a lost boy...and the ramifications of that tugged at him a bit. But the main thing that got him was the fact that he was incorrect - neither of them were from here and would know any better about the span of the location that they were in. The man looked around, taking in the surroundings not for the fact that he had not already in the first place but for the fact of the matter that he was letting just the sheer reality of what was going on mull over in his mind. The bamboo...it was bright red, the night sky was radiant with chakra - he could feel it on his being...he wasnt even as fast as he usually was because of just how thick the air was in chakra - it made his body sore. The creatures that came at them were not human...they were not any form of animal that he had seen in the land of fire either. He had only heard tales of such things in story books and other works of fiction - myths...was this really happening right now? He leaned down - ignoring the food pills and such offered to him and not answering any questions either...he'd never take such things from a stranger - it was an easy way to get poisoned, it was where his mind reflexively went which given his life's current standing it was . . . funny that he was worried about such. He weaved handseals and as he did such the fox upon his shoulder seemed to be a bit surprised...muttering under its muff about the jutsu used: "Oh...Earth Style: Tectonic range finding, so that sage - he taught it to you." and as he said this the white haired male punched the ground and set his fist flush to it while maintaining a handseal with his free hand. As he did such a pressured sound like a deep thud hit the ground - for the Hyuga he would be able to see, if he focused - the wave of chakra that seemed to outline and surge over the surroundings and wave through the ground like a sonar, even if the air and very trees were thick with a chakra. The man - eyes closed - seemed to be focusing until finally his eyes snapped open....buildings - an actual village. His head turned over towards the north. "That way then.." and with that he stood straight up and walked past the two. He had a long history as a shinobi and during that history he never did like to work together with others...he was far more a lone wolf, and the way that he saw it - he would be better off alone, no one else to drag him down; less numbers to worry about being easier to spot and keep track of all the details and bits and pieces that came with being tracked and otherwise. . . and most of all - no connections, no hang ups. He started to walk off and peel between the bamboo to the point that his body was almost completely obscured through the bloody red trees...poetic - lost in the sea of red, kin to how he felt on the inside when he couldnt help but repeat it in his head: *A boy..he's just a fucking boy out here. A kid...* His mind was riddled with flashes and thoughts, echos of the past and seedlings of guilt...of regret. He pinched the bridge of his nose and had a pained expression upon his face as his back was turned to them and he paused for a moment: ". . . . There's a village this way - we'd best make way fast. Eventually - the winner of the big feast down there in the pitt will be coming out for desert." and with that he walked off through the forest - makings ure to walk through the trees, not through the clearing - for the sake of maintaining the lack of visibility to keep himself and if they followed - themselves concealed from any prying eyes.=

He would watch as the young Hyuga would take the offered pills, pleased to be of some help. He felt a moment of concern when the other didn't take the offered pills, Valkerie would return them to the pouch on his hip. He proceeded to eat his own chakra pill and felt a refreshing surge of energy, but it was little to help the pressure he could feel on his body, had he suffered from injury that he wasn't aware of? No this was a different type of heaviness - something about the atmosphere made a shiver tingle down his spine. The Haruno male would take a step back when the fox began to speak, though it didn't come to much surprise, after all there were many Shinobi with animal companians who could talk. Though he did stand there confused when the silver haired male punched the ground - much to his confusion the whole ordeal only seemed to take a few moments. He tapped his foot on the ground, simply out of habit.

And like a bat out of Hell, he watched as the stranger start off, mentioning something about a village. Valkeire wanted to say something to the guy about waiting up. Instead he just followed in tow, gesturing at Itsuki for him to follow as well. They would be better off as a group, not soloing around.

Perhaps they could find refuge at the village...

Denial and shock were a wonderful thing, and now that the adrenaline was wearing off, Itsuki became more and more aware of just how wrong everything felt. His thoughts continued to race back to that feeling of drowning, the desperation in his body to fight for his life, the heaviness he felt as the water pressed against his skin, holding him in place while he glanced up at what he thought would be his last glimpse of light. His thoughts raced forward- to the Ogres cannibalizing eachother, to the overwhelming presence that came from the two that hunted them, and now that he finally had a moment to breathe, he was realizing that it was much more difficult than he first thought. He did his best to hold back a pained grunt, finding that his breaths were a little strained after all, and to make matters worse, the pain was setting in.

This was fine.

He convinced himself everything would be okay. Sure, he could see the chakra in the air, he could feel the pressure on his skin- as if he was still drowning.

This was fine.

A hint of a smile cracked on the corners of his lips, his eyes just a bit wider than before as if he was still a young buck caught in the headlights. He took a small gulp, doing his best not to focus on the chakra that surrounded them. It almost hurt to use his eyes.

Everything was perfectly fine. Just had to find something else to focus on. He was alive. He was breathing. He had to press on, no? He had to live for the sake of those who died before him.

His smile wavered ever so slightly, the skin underneath his eyes creasing just enough to give him a somewhat crazed look. He just had to focus on the other things around him, ground himself in the facts. Find something intriguing to distract him. He was running these thoughts through his head over and over, desperately trying to hold on to his sanity rather than give into an already fragile state of mind.

The young shinobi took a slow, controlled breath, and somehow managed to keep hold of his sanity. These two strangers- one had pink hair and the other had silver. While he wasn't that familiar with the clans within Konoha, he had caught glimpses of those hair colors before. Still, he assumed those colors were probably in every nation. The voice of the little Fox seemed to knock Itsuki out of his dazed state, and upon hearing something about earth release, he felt some sort of kinship to the silver haired stranger. He could see what he was doing, though he didn't entirely understand what the purpose of such a wide use of chakra was, that is, until he began parting ways with them. He mulled over the use of the technique- was he communicating with someone, like the redhead did with his snakes? No, the Fox mentioned something about range finding. That was when he realized just how quickly he accepted the fact that there was a talking fox...

"My name's Itsuki, uh- Hyuga." He called out as the man walked off, almost as if he thought the man expected the two to follow. "I know I might be younger than the two of you- but I'll keep an eye on our nearby surroundings for now, I'll let you guys know if anything... dangerous heads our way," he wanted to say if anything was weird, he'd give them a heads up, but to him, everything seemed weird right now. Given the fact neither of them answered his question, he hoped that they were both as lost as he was about their current situation, and simply pressed on, doing his best to accept the facts despite his steadily rising heart rate. He scouted ahead and behind them every now and again, though when his sight returned close to them, he found himself staring at the fox on the man's shoulder. He almost wondered if he should pull out his snakes, though they wouldn't be very useful right now. While he had trained his eyes to use his Byakugan for long periods of time, he found it was more difficult to maintain right now, and as long as they got close to the village without further issues, he planned to dispel his Byakugan in order to avoid further eye strain.

"Your technique back there- the way the lightning kind of bounced off your body. That was impressive. Haven't seen anything like that," the redhead went on, trying to break the silence in an attempt to calm his ever growing nerves. "And you! Fancy meeting someone with chakra pills out here, huh? Guess we can count ourselves lucky." If his cracked smile wasn't a clue, his incessant need to talk was probably a dead giveaway as to how nervous he was, nevermind the way he occasionally bit at the skin on his lips. He could tell by the masked man's facial expressions and the tone in his voice that he probably wasn't much of one for conversation, but given the pink haired one reached out to him, maybe he'd be more willing to talk. "You some kind of relief Shinobi or something?" If this boy had any grasp as to how much danger they were in, he would definitely be trying to maintain some silence, given he had no idea just what dangers lurked nearby.

=The moment that he weaved through the trees he kept a steady pace, even hearing the way that the younger of the three started to talk he kept a pace, if not starting to speed up a bit - reflexively thinking that he would get the hint that this was not a conversation point but a moment that they needed to keep their survival in mind. They had no clue where they were at...they didnt even know if this village? Collection of structures? Whatever it was - was even friendly. For all they knew they could be thrown into a fully hostile world where everything was out to get them, and it was not a matter of who wanted to kill them but when would someone kill them. . . perhaps they were the only ones in this world that didnt get the memo about dog eat dog. Perhaps - he'd be best shooting ahead of the curve and killing them for their things now. No - no no. Thats not what he should do, besides - he was a kid....he was a kid...he was a KID! That brought him back to the realization. He was jittering - jitter jatter, as he and a few of his friends called it when a Jounin or otherwise were their first time on a serious mission and their mouth was running in hopes of comforting the rest of their body. He held his hand up in silence to signal the young shinobi that he too, should indulge the same. Then keeping his eyes forward so not to lose sight of the assumed point of contact if someone did come at them he spoke: "Stick by me. Do as I say and you will get out of this alive. I promise you that. You don't need to know my name right now. Just call me Sonzai for now. Itsuki, Valkerie." He spoke unto Itsuki mostly, straight forward giving him all the info that he would need and at the same time making sure he knew that he did indeed hear what he had been saying. As well, he indicated to the Haruno male that he knew whom he was to some degree as well, mainly due to his status as an ANBU Lieutenant he had expert knowledge of the BINGO book. His name was among them and to boot - he was the only Haruno among them, easy to remember. But that was not his focus right now, and perhaps would never come to be seeing as where they were. They were close to the village now by this point, and a commotion could be heard - apparent that there was some level of labor being performed there at the village. Soon the silver haired male peeled through the forest and disappeared to the other side of the thick. What awaited on the other side would be left for the group to catch up:

Valkerie was intent on following the silver haired male as they traversed through the bamboo forest, his breath felt heavy on his chest like water was still filling his lungs. Perhaps it was from the adrenaline rush slowly dying down, perhaps it was something else. His emerald hues shot a glare at the youngest of them all. As if trying to silence him - In truth Valkerie wanted to reach out the young lad and give him the comfort of words that he sought. But the nod and shake of his head should have been indication enough that they should focus on getting out the bamboo thicket.

It was when the silver haired male finally spoke up that Valkerie was almost thrown off balance in his movements. How did he know who he was? Valkerie had never spoken his name to the two that were with him. Suspicion rose in his thoughts as He readied himself for the worst outcome - most people who knew his name were more then likely not on his side. He knew his name was in the BINGO book. Perhaps this was fate? But the stranger had told them to listen and they would iive, right now it was about survival.

With focusing his chakra, He began following the males movements more closely, moving through to the otherside of the bamboo forest, perhaps to safety and perhaps to his own demise. His fate was now in the hands of the stranger.

There was one golden rule when it came to being a Shinobi- and that was not to let your emotions cloud your judgement. Lately, rules were something that the young Hyuga was starting to question and resent, regardless of if they were vital in the moment they were presented. The male's open and cheery demeanor faded almost instantly, that spark of innocence in his eyes being replaced by one that was almost cold and certainly calculating. He turned into his senses, keeping a close watch to their surroundings as the newly named Sonzai picked up the pace. If one was paying close attention, they could perhaps notice the tension in itsuki's shoulders and jaw, though before long that tension gave way to an unpredicted sense of exhaustion.

While the trio pushed through the forest, the adrenaline rushing through the young male's body was beginning to wear off, and the toll of the new environment was beginning to take hold. With the quickened pace along with his injury, his breaths were starting to grow ragged, his eyes squinted as he was even finding it hard to maintain his Byakugan. It was as if the very air was pressing down on him, applying pressure not only to his senses, but also his chakra. Itsuki had been wrapped up in some inner turmoil until that moment, and he was finally beginning to grasp just how dangerous this all was.

Now, the ragged breaths were laced with a hint of panic. He never really did feel a bond to his home, but suddenly he found himself questioning if he could ever find his way back. If the two hadn't been paying attention, Itsuki's pace slowed while obvious signs of stress formed in his eyes. He was managing to maintain his composure for the moment, but if the nearby village didn't provide some answers and shelter, the boy was certainly going to need a moment to really process all of this. Not only was his inexperience showing in this moment, but the effects of the new environment as well. He didn't know if the other two felt the same, but Itsuki was certainly showing the most signs of it.

Survival. Itsuki steeled himself as they approached the village, letting his Byakugan fade in order to preserve his Chakra. Given the new environment, he didn't know if maintaining his dojutsu would apply more strain than usual, and if the village ahead proved hostile, he would certainly need it then.
