Standard Nightmare rules apply.
Order will be in: Challenger -> Target
Location: Ouka Monastery, inner gate. Mid evening.

A dense, lush forest habitat located in the inner wall of the Ouka monastery. The air is thick with moisture and the air smells of pinecones. There have been lanterns lit in multiple places all over the forest guiding the way through - and in the distance the wailing shrieks of monkeys and other wild life can be heard clear as day.

When did he manage to fall asleep? He asked himself as he stirred awake, the shrieking of the nearby wildlife being the trigger that brought him from the realm of dreams. Finding that he was laid out on the ground, Sentou slowly rolled onto his side prior to picking himself up and dusting off the lingering dirt on his clothing. Bewildered, the young man felt as if something wasn't quite right. At first glance, he scanned his surroundings and not a single member of his team could be found, had he possibly overslept and they moved on ahead without him? That couldn't be the truth. Raising both hands to his face, Sentou would smack either side of his cheeks to bring himself to full attention. "Ugh, I feel sluggish as hell. Did they drug the food last night? Feels like I took one helluva beating in my sleep.." He muttered to himself, taking a second glance over the vicinity. Now that he thought of it, the previous night felt like a blur..oh well he wouldn't question it. There were more important things to take care of, but in order to accomplish that he'd have to find the others. That much was for sure. Sealing his eyes shut, he'd calm his mind and expand his awareness - he had hoped that if any of his comrades were still lurking about he'd feel their chakra signatures, however, as the short seconds turned into a minute he'd abandon his endeavors as he couldn't feel Ko, Kasami, nor Misaho. Was this some kind of prank? Hot-headed and short-tempered, Sentou's facial features began to tense up with a singular vein bulging from the side of his head at the idea of this being some elaborated joke from the others. "If they think this is funny, I'll show them something to laugh at."

Nevertheless, he refused to sit still until they were reunited. Peering towards the fiery globe in the sky, Sentou determined it was getting late in the day, night would eventually set in - so until the others returned he'd explore the inners of the monastery further. Perhaps he'd be lucky and find some kind of berries or other fruit to snack on... or maybe not. He wasn't bright enough to know the difference between edible berries and poisonous ones. Coming to that realization he felt his stomach sink, hunger was beginning to kick in it seemed. Pondering his course of action, the sound of the animals in the distance once more caught his attention. He wasn't truly desperate enough yet but should push come to shove he'd have no other option than to start a fire and cook some animal meat. "Heh, I wonder if Senpu monkeys are off-limits or not.." he wondered aloud, with a subtle shrug he smirked before moving forward, following the candles that led to the few Tori gates within the center of the establishment.

Haenous, sickening and black - a scream came from inside of the forest within the monastery walls with enough power to shake trees and move the life within around it. Creatures began to flee the source and that which did not moved in its service. It definitely was no kind of animal that had ever been heard before...but it also was most certainly not human by the furthest extents of the word. Whatever it was - the creature was most certainly in pain of some sort...the type of pain that demands retribution. Sentou was a stranger in a strange place and all around him strange things were beginning to happen and in the strangest way that they possibly could, unfolding before him without his context or knowing of exactly how to identify what was happening around or within him. Though it would not be long before the question of what was happening to him became the primary state of concern for the young lotus warrior. The moment that he had looked up at the sun would have been the moment that he would notice he had imminent company coming his way. There was a silhouette tumbling through the air taken by cover of the blinding sun - but it was certainly plummeting down towards Sentou's position. After a bit, there would flip downwards in his path what looked like at first glance - a bright green stone slamming into the ground in a gigantic upsweep of cobblestone and dust as it landed. Once the debris cleared it would become evident that this was no stone at all, but instead it had been the "Kaptain" from back in the village.
1654186141379.png

The moment that the Kappa landed he removed his helmet from his head and slammed it across the floor with great force, sending the symbolism of rank and stature skipping across the ground and off into the air again just before he started to roar out and beat his chest plate with his fists. A roar that was entirely different from and thus eliminated from symmetry to the scream heard before. But it was evident that at this point the Kaptain was not in his right mind, and was in a sick twisted rage - perhaps not too differently from the monks that had previously blocked the way to this point in the first place. There was no room for dialogue here, combat was imminent and soon the Kaptain would begin an imposing nine foot stomp towards the direction of the young man with not a trace of positive intent anywhere to be found within his being as he closed the gap between him and the man before him.

A scream of bloody murder rung out through the atmosphere, and as Sentou gazed upon the sun, something of interest would catch his eye. Something appeared to be suspended in the air, however, it appeared as a shadow as the rays of the sun made it near impossible to make it out. Despite the sickening scream from before, Sentou stood his ground without fear as the figure landed and ultimately revealed itself with the settling of dust and cobblestone. A look of surprise adorned Sentou's face as he recognized the entity as the leader of the Kappas he and the others had met not too long ago, was something going on, or was he known to jump around like a bat outta hell? Starting to move closer to question if he had seen the others, Sentou would stop in place once he realized something wasn't right. The captain removed its helmet prior to discarding it like a toy that had long since lost its value and releasing a bellow only a mindless creature would be capable of.

"Great, just what I need. Another issue.." Sentou retorted in displeasure as the beast that was once Captain Tokitoki was now charging at him with so much blood lust that Sentou could taste it. Even from the moment it arrived, he was having a hard time synchronizing his breathing with the captain's, it seemed being cheeky was out of the question, for the time being, he'd have to stave off the beast until he came back to his senses or incapacitated. As if the proverbial bell had been rung, the fight would begin. Readying himself, Sentou would subconsciously release the first gate of opening in the left side of his brain; removing his mental inhibitions his awareness would expand as well as the limiters that restricted him from using the full capacity of his brain would be lifted. As the Kappa closed the gap and came within three feet, Sentou would hope to use the unbridled beast's momentum against him - lowering his own sense of gravity, Sentou crouched low and outstretched his arms at either side in hopes of taking the charge head-on. A risky endeavor, but as his body steadily coursed with physical energy he felt confident enough to take the trade. Had Sentou's fighter's intuition proven true, he'd stand his ground as the two collided into one another, however, instead of budging or being knocked off his rocker, Sentou would dig deep (muscles bulging) to sustain the initial impact so that he could wrap his arms around the waist of his opponent (locking fingers together) and lean backward on the sole of his heels in an attempt to drive the Kappa's face into the pavement face first with a reverse german suplex. Wishful thinking would believe the Kappa would be out of commission (if successful), but Sentou knew deep down, it was never that easy. Had his suplex succeeded as planned, both the Kappa and Sentou would be on the ground - the young man's arms still latched around the Kappa as he used his core and lower body strength to swing his legs from one side to the other, using the momentum to find his way back onto his feet and slowly lifting the Kappa up once more for a second and more brutal reverse german suplex in which Sentou would release his hold mid-way to throw his adversary into the dirt with his physical force. With panted breath, Sentou would reposition himself to face the Kappa, maintaining visual on his target and whether or not his grapple knocked the wind out of him.

The young man's strength was commendable. Had the Kaptain been in his right mind then it would be a sight to behold and a moment of glory! He'd be emboldened and excited were it not for the density of the rage inducing red that overcome his senses. The moment that their bodies made contact there would be a boisterous impact that would explode out from the epicenter between the two. Flesh upon scale as they collided and the sheer force and weight of the gigantic Kappa would send the man sliding backwards. But his stance was firm and his grip was strong - he'd not be overcome by the force that was applied by the cannon ball of a beast that had struck him. The moment that he grabbed the waist of Tokitoki he would find that lifting him would be an arduous (if not imminently fatiguing) task. Rabid shaking and resistance, grip at the waist leaving his arms up above free it would take a moment but ultimately the Kaptain would be lifted from the ground. However, he would find that the Lotus warrior was in for quite a treat, if not a bout of confusion. Once lifted, the arms and feet of the Kaptain would slip seeming down inside of itself as to shortly be followed by the head. For the mass majority of the body of a Kappa (at least of his stature) the shell and armor plating were all part of an essential, symmetrical "suit" per se. Tokitoki had contracted himself down inside of that suit - and without facing the resistance of fighting against the grip that was at his waist would "flip" the axis of his body - arms and legs striking back out as he was mid way over the tilt of the young man beneath him. What would result would be a 180 flip, and as he was suplexing Toki he would find that he would only slam him down upon his feet and subsequently be gripped around his waist. Now the bloodlust seemed to be tinged with excited fervor - the head of the Kaptain rotating like a fanboy at a rock concert as he would begin lifting Sentou up off the ground. However there would be no suplex to follow, oh no - what he had in mind was much more "frequent flyer friendly". Once gripping the male, the Kaptain would stomp one foot into the ground getting a firm footing - collapsing the ground beneath it by the built up kinetic force. And in doing so he would jump off into the air several feet up, passing and crossing some of the smaller tree-lines. Had the man not resisted and prevented in some way then he would find himself being taken upside down in a high ride up above the smaller trees traveling forward at a heightened pace. This would soon start to crescendo into a spin, spiraling through the air as he began to bring Sentou down in corkscrew piledriver down into the ground. The impact that would have been focused to the lid of the male would have been monstrous - and if landed and not immediately answered, would result in the Kaptain grabbing the boy's planted body from the firm dirt of the path ahead (As he had jumped forward) by the leg, and with a great roar plucking him from the point of impact on the ground and slinging him ragdoll ahead further more - a catastrophic pathway through the trees ahead to use him as the choosen tool of clearing the path ahead. Had this gone through to the design of destruction as intended, the kaptain would come stomping heavily behind the quickly flying young man, ready to continue way-laying till his blood lust had been satiated.

While the young man attempted to hoist the quite large Kappa in his arms he would notice a bit of resistance, however, none of that would slow him down in the slightest as he previously removed the limits of his physical inhibitors. Veins protruded from his arms visibly as he lifted the being into the air effortlessly, too effortlessly for his taste if he had any right to the matter. A slight look of confusion betrayed the facial features of the confident male as he watched the arms, and head of the Captain slip away into his hard exterior, but seeing as Sentou was already committed to his suplex there wasn't much that he could do to avoid what would occur next. What should have been the face of his opponent eating pavement quickly escalated into one helluva reversal instead. Sentou could feel his adversary catch their footing prior to flipping the young man upright and taking him into the skies with a well-bound leap. A gasp of anticipation left the child's mouth as he tried to break free from his aggressor. Flailing his arms in hope of offsetting their balance, Sentou would quickly be in for a world of trouble as he felt the two tilting over once more (having reached their peak altitude). The way Sentou viewed the world below them quickly became that of a blur as he and Toki began spinning in the air in their descent. He was trapped, but not out of the battle. Coursing his physical energy throughout his upper torso and head region, Sentou would hold his arms out over top of his head in a feeble attempt to cushion the impending blow he would receive as they hit the ground. Boom! A loud crashing thud tore through the area as Sentou came crashing down, wind knocked out of him despite mitigating a fraction of the initial blow. His body was well-trained for engagements such as this, however, having been caught off guard and attempting to shield his body in an armor of physical energy at such short notice would stun the lad. The occasional groan left his lips as he tried to pull himself together, but before he managed to do so, he felt the strong grip of his attacker take hold of his ankle. "Aye, fuck-" Sentou started to exclaim before he felt his body being pulled and thrown across the field like bolas.

Tree limbs snapped violently, birds and other form of wildlife scattering as the young man flew through the forest without restraint until finally, he had enough. Releasing chakra from the Tenketsu's upon his body, Sentou would release a concentrated burst of Wind at his back acting as an invisible airbag to stop his aggressive momentum mid-flight. Standing afloat in the air (five feet off the ground), Sentou could be seen adorning fresh bruises and cuts from both his fall and trip through the forest, however, in spite of his injuries, he was still in good condition to continue. "Are Kappa's fuckin' turtles?" he remarked, fuming at the audacity of being reversed and then put through what felt like a primary lotus. "If you weren't attacking me, I'd tell you how cool that was, but now I'm mad!" he continued as it appeared that his rage was physically broiling to the surface; sheets of heat rose from his body as the area within the immediate vicinity grew humid and hot with him being the source of it. Having formed three hand seals, he kept his eyes peeled on the forest (from the direction in which he came) as he knew the Kappa was on the chase. Manifesting from the veil of heat surrounding his body, three flaming orbs of Scorch chakra would orbit around Sentou. His thought process was no longer on incapacitating the captain anymore, but to get even. As the Kappa came into view Sentou, without hesitation, would stomp into the ground and twist his body towards the left as he threw a right jab following contorting his body in the opposite direction to perform a left hook. For what purpose? With both movement's he would launch two of the three orbs from a distance, the first flying straight at its intended target while the second moved at an arched trajectory to blindside the Kappa from his side. For once, Sentou would use his head, he was positive neither of these two projectiles would hit their mark or prove to be effective due to the exterior of the Kappa, instead, they would be mere distractions, however, had they not been dealt with entirely then he'd have free reign to manipulate their route. Until then, Sentou would charge forward with the final scorching ball hovering in front of him while he held the tiger hand seal right behind it.

The strike was successful and the man had been sent hurling through the forest as intended. But the moment that they had struck down the Kappa could tell that the intention of the impact's magnitude had not been felt; thwarted. When he had sent the man flying through the forest he began beating his chest and chasing in rage - knowing that the boy had defended against the initial impact he knew that he needed to keep the onslaught going...he felt the need for it in his veins - fuming as if filled with liquid hot steel he charged forth towards where he had slung the man. It was apparent at this point that there was very little if any sentient reasoning in the mind of the Kappa at this point - and to further reinforce this he charged through the forest like a mad-man, breaking smaller trees and vegetation in his way with his very own body as he closed the gap, listening for the man as he approached. As he got closer birds and other small wildlife could be seen telegraphing his path by the way that they cleared out of the direction of his wonton destruction, when suddenly an answer to one of the boy's questions was called out whether or not directed inwards or outwards: "Gnnnaaah! WHAT. IS. A. TURTLE!?" he screamed out in a saliva drowned hack of a yell as he burst through the tree-line obviously overwhelmed with (misplaced) rage. The moment that the boy struck out his jab and hook he would find that much to the opposite of his expectations, what he thought would not happen is exactly what would happen. The moment his combination went out the Kappa was already running straight ahead - not having known the boy to be capable of using such a rare elemental release or expecting something of the sort he was already well invested in the charge. So he would run directly into the first orb - his body struck back and momentum slowed as he was nearly carried back by the momentum of the orb; taking the burning hot sensation straight to the body with a loud yell before he clenched his fists together and hammer fisted the orb down and with one mighty blow dissipated the orb entirely like a pillow reduced to a cloud of feathers. After doing this he was only met directly after with the incoming second one, which caused him to slide from the impact and come up on one leg as the orb pushed him aside a bit. The heat was sweltering and despite the hardened outer shell the kappa could feel the moisture within being sapped. With a loud grunt he shook back - regaining stance when suddenly he would send a violent and wild haymaker across his body from his opposite side into the orb and burst it apart into nothing as well. In doing so he would seem to swing, diminish the orb...but then swing again, and again, and again - wild and unfocused; battling the air until finally it called out from within the forest with him, screams in synchronicity:

As it screamed from deep in the dark of the forest so too did the Kappa and it almost seemed as if what ever it was screaming out in the forest was using him as a speaker box for its own anguish at the moment. After the kappa screamed Sentou had begun charging forward behind the scorch orb that was driving its way towards the kappa. Talons dug down into the dirt, knees bent it gathered strength, power - from deep within its core and seemed to take off, launching itself straight into the scorch orb where he would dip his shoulder and lean inwards - looking to strike and break directly through the orb taking it straight to the chin as he would emerge out the other side and grasp Sentou, picking him up on his shoulder and running him back through the forest through a couple of trees had he caught the man without any interference otherwise. The result of this would be a charge that would cleave a path through the forest and end with him driving Sentou into a smaller boulder. Once there the impact would have been great - creating a cracking fissure in said boulder only for the kappa to stagger back, shaking off the delirium from the heat of the three orbs he had face tanked and the impact of the smash, only to shake it off just as quickly and jump up - drop kicking the man that would be imbedded in the fissure and send him striking through the boulder with enough force to crack the boulder in half and send the boy out the other side. Had he succeeded the Kaptain would pull himself up off the ground and start to push the two halves of the boulder aside, stepping through and onwards - endurance weakened by the scorch but still very much so ready to do battle as he would march his way after the boy whom he had made a second attempt to send plummeting through the forest again.

Sentou scoffed at the captain’s inquiry, he had no intentions of answering him, but how exactly did he not know what a turtle was? Perhaps the captain really did lose his marbles after all. It wasn’t long that after Sentou had fired his second projectile he would begin his pursuit towards the Kappa, feet shuffling as he worked on shortening the distance between the two with his final scorching orb in his possession. Charging forward without any hesitant thoughts, the young man couldn’t help but feel impressed with how easily dismantled not one, but both of his scorching spheres at the hands of the Kappa; however, something felt odd. As Tokitoki hammered into the second object and caused it to disperse with his sheer strength alone, it appeared as if the individual was battling some form of demon - fist swinging at nothing over and over until a beastly bellow escaped its jaws. The roar sounded as if the very forest screamed in tandem with him, was it just him, or was there something better at play? Nonetheless, Sentou kept his wits about him and kept up his charge, maintaining the Tiger Seal at chest level as he silently prayed that his plan would go as planned. With the gap between both fighters falling to that of ten feet, Sentou would slam down on his left foot, coming to a momentary halt prior to pushing himself off the ground and springing backward five feet; but not without willing his creation of scorch towards his adversary and spiking his chakra. Just before the impact of Sentou’s jutsu and the Kappa’s shoulder, Sentou would remotely detonate his Scorching Bomb, causing the weaponized chakra to erupt into a small contained explosion of scarlet-lime flames with a three-foot radius. The scorching element would dissipate just as quickly as it occurred, but not before superheating and evaporating the moisture in the immediate atmosphere causing a burning irritation to the unprotected flesh and eyes of the Captain.

Whether Tokitoki received major damage or not wasn’t the true intention of Sentou, but rather to merely cause the hulking figure to stumble or stop in place, however, given the screams of blood murder he had heard before, who knew if it would be successful. Regardless, Sentou would finally descend from his previous leap, landing on his right foot while taking in a sharp intake of oxygen, and had he succeeded in impeding the monstrous Kappa’s charge, he’d simply vanish from sight. Had he taken a page out of Eiji’s book and cloaked himself for the time being? Not quite. As the Crimson Lotus disappeared, a strong gust of wind would soon arrive, and with it - Sentou’s reemergence as the lad could be found crouched just beneath the large Kappa. It had been hard to synchronize his breathing with the captain at the start, but as the individual took the time to destroy the two previous scorching orbs, it became easy for the child to mimic the Kappa’s movements using the Shadow of the Dancing Leaf. Veins protruded from his biceps once more as he exhaled profusely, raising upwards like a corkscrew - right arm leading into a soaring uppercut aimed dead center of the captain’s lower jaw region with a force that would further leave the Kappa stunned, however, it wouldn’t end there. Had Sentou’s first uppercut connected and left the Kappa dazed, he’d continue with the spiraling motion, feet touching the ground once more before launching a second and more devastating soaring uppercut - this time with enough force to send the large being reeling through the air with skull rattling strength.

Had everything gone exactly as he hoped, Tokitoki would find himself twenty feet in the air, but before gravity could bring Sentou down to them once more, the air around Sentou would swirl and compress underneath the young man’s feet until it created a solid footing (Sky Dancing), and with a glint of determination shining from his eyes he would once more pursue his opponent. Running vertically on-air, Sentou would combine both practices of Water Walking and Shadow of the Dancing Leaf to not only catch up with his ascending nemesis but blitz past him altogether. Had this pursuit gone unchallenged Sentou would appear above Tokitoki as a silhouette due to the sun at his back and an increased spike in temperature. Conjoining Fire and Wind at his dominant hand, Sentou’s right fist would light ablaze in his signature scarlet-lime scorch flames before condensing around the hand in question to create his Scorching Knuckle. Without hesitation, Sentou would cram his superheated fist into the upper skull area of his opponent with all intents and purposes of not only punching his foe but punching through them with the hazardous properties of both Fire and Wind behind the blow.

ConsciousNimbleGalapagosalbatross-max-1mb.gif

Had this very blow connected, Tokitoki would be sent hurdling towards the very ground at high speeds, the momentum carried behind the strike creating a crater from impact kicking up dust and debris from Sentou’s full-on assault. Whether or not this had been enough to put his attacker down for good, Sentou would descend to the ground with grace, standing ten feet away from ground zero (Toki’s location.) Huffing and panting, Sentou would drop to his left knee as he felt every nerve of his body aching from his extensive use of Shadow of the Dancing Leaf - with one eye shut tight, he kept his other open and alert for his adversary. He had exhausted quite a bit of his own chakra physically and would need a moment to gather himself. All he could do was pray the other wouldn’t stand back up.

The ball of scorch incoming was an obstacle that the Kaptain was full on ready to take on to the forward brunt of the assault. The kappa had been quite resilient against the other attacks but even with that in mind one would think that there would be more effort taken to avoid the attack entirely - at least to someone that was trying to actually avoid the attacks in the first place. Certainly of all the creatures in Naraka even under this very particular circumstance the kappa were sentient enough to not regress down into a wild animal when faced with just such a predicament? Some would wonder if the kappa in the fullness of its mind even meant harm to the young boy in the first place...or maybe there were battles being fought on two fronts in this very situation? Regardless. The moment came that the ball of scorch flared into its newly transitioned bomb like state, the initial flare of the attack if anything was what had stopped the Kappa in his tracks more so - planting his feet to bare down and cross his arms in front of his face in an X pattern as he was overwhelmed by the sudden burst of heat and brightness of the attack. Soon his body was engulfed in the wave of scorch that was overcoming him but he would only bare his own and endure through it all. The Kaptain was determined even if by nothing more then animalistic tenacity as he started to yell and attempt to push through. However, it was in that very moment that he would begin to notice something else was in the making during this solar flare of an attack. From underneath his guard he could make out a figure - and without fully knowing what it was in the first place he pivoted his guard downwards to address that very same figure if only out of confusion to give him long enough to ascertain what it was in the first place. What he was met with was a striking uppercut that would launch him up into the air. His guard took the brunt of the force but he was still staggered and tossed upwards - not only taken off guard but his guard sundered by the impact, arms tossed upwards as he looked down to see that it was indeed his opponent. A bait and switch - his two-dimension battle pattern had been taken advantage of and he was now facing the repercussions of fighting like a wild beast. What came next he did not expect out of a human. The boy ascended up into the air with a follow up attack - displaying not only versatility but the ability to navigate and traverse through the air just as well as any winged creature. With a shocked grunt the kappa displayed his shock as he started to try and think of away out of this but to no avail - his mind was clouded by rage..and the whispers of indignation of another. As soon as his mind thought to close down into his shell and use his flame wheel spin to helicopter out of the way he was struck with another blow that dislodged the very thought from his mind.
It was almost artistic, the way that his body soar through the air upwards, back arched almost into a rainbow as he went flying. His mind waivered here and there and just as his mind struggled with holding onto the reigns of consciousness he realized that he had been passed in the air by something. A projectile? Setting up for another attack? The kappa opened a single of his clenched tight eyes only to see a super heated fist coming directly his way - caving in his face to nestle a snug him inside the combat crater created in his unsuspecting maw. As he was struck the Kappa's eyes were fully shut - and so was his train of consciousness as he was sent bulleting down into the ground striking down into his new place of bedding, the crater his body created. As he slammed down inside of it his body set then rolled over onto his side to release an exhausted gasp signifying unconsciousness. The Lotus Warrior's attack had successfully put the Kaptain out of commission. The boy knelt there in the forest and for the first time since he had gotten here in this weird - twisted variation of a place that he had never even seen before...all was quiet.

"Nothing more then a rabid beast. Hmph...maybe I overestimated the use of a creature such as that."
A voice came out from behind Sentou. Had he turned around to face this voice he would find that what he would be faced with would be what seemed to be a man - cloaked in a black almost ANBU like cloak with a hood up over his head concealing most of his appearance...and a golden skull mask around his face that was brilliant and bright yet at the same time there was no vision of what was behind it...perpetual darkness as far as the eye could see at simple glance. The man's voice was light, easy on the ears and carried the type of undertone that could be seen as cynical, and very shamelessly condescending in the manner that he spoke about Tokitoki. It was very plain to see that the man did not see Toki as anything more then just as he said - a creature, despite the Kappa's sentience and intelligence as it had been displayed, they were the same as any other creature in Naraka to him. The way that the man sat there and discussed among himself - it was apparent that he was not worried in the slightest bit. His body language gave off the idea that he was not tense or on guard what so ever - that he simply was there observing and taking notes on what was going on and the way that the situation went on. Was this....a science experiment to him? He sat there and seemed to be witling away at a small object of gold in his hand....it appeared to be a toy model of Toki toki - carved in his spitting image right down to every detail on his shell. Either this man was utterly unbothered by the presence of Sentou, knew that he was exhausted or...he was unaware that the boy would even be able to perceive his presence. Regardless - he sat there on top of a fallen over tree swinging his leg back and forth witling away at the little model that he had created...but there was something off about the man...something entirely of another world. He bore...a kind of dangerous mystery to his being similar to a particular ruler of Naraka that they had encountered before - however...this seemed more....real....more dangerous.

A slight sensation of relief coursed through Sentou as he felt his attack prove true, his Scorching Knuckle succeeding in blasting his adversary, Toki, straight to the ground shortly before his descent. Having previously landed and dropped to a knee to recuperate and catch his breath, he couldn't help but stare at the unconscious body of the Kappa before him. "T-that's..payback.. for before.. Stupid talking turtle.." He huffed in an attempt to pick himself up, however, in doing so he could feel the strain on his body beginning to take a toll. In spite of only unleashing the first of the four gates, he was capable of opening, Sentou's head still ached from being dropped on his skull with nothing more than his arms and armor of yang to lessen the blow, and a sharp pain lingered in his left ankle shooting up to his knee from using Shadow of the Dancing leaf twice in short succession, but what did it matter? The battle was over now, right? Allowing himself to drop his guard, Sentou would mentally re-seal his Gate of Opening as he wished to question what exactly had just occurred. He was positive during their last encounter that the Kappatain wasn't a raging behemoth of a creature, what happened between then and now he wondered. As that very thought crossed his mind something seemed to click with him..why was it so quiet? What was once a loud forest consisting of the wildlife and bestial screams in the distance was now so dead silent he could hear his very own heartbeat.

"Nothing more than a rabid beast. Hmph...maybe I overestimated the use of a creature such as that."

A voice spoke, it was light, however, its sudden arrival would startle Sentou as it came from behind him. Rearing his head upward and towards his left to peer over his shoulder, Sentou would lay eyes on a mysterious figure cladded in black and gold at his six just sitting there, menacingly prior to pulling out a small figure and studying it. Just where'd this man come from, and was he talking about Toki? Did he know something? From his distance, and the fact he was still kneeling at the time, Sentou couldn't make out clearly what the individual was observing. Perhaps it was a weapon? Through gritted teeth, Sentou willed his body to bare with him, he wasn't incredibly injured, just exhausted. A frustrated grunt left his lips and he forced himself to stand on two feet, heavily leaning on his right foot to take the weight off his left leg, and slowly pivoted about-face to look this mysterious figure face to face. Taking a moment to observe the individual, Sentou finally spotted the item in his hand, it was indeed a doll, but of what? As the hooded figure twirled and whittled it around, Sentou recognized the shell it possessed, it wouldn't take a lot of process of elimination to understand what the figure previously had said was indeed about Tokitoki. "Who the hell are you? Are you the reason the Kappa had a change of character!?" Sentou asked defiantly, his hot nature broiling to the top. Had this man in fact been the reason why he had to fight someone he viewed as an ally he'd hold no gripe with turning his anger towards him. Sprained ankle and all. He had seen people in the past use others to get what they wanted and it was his greatest pet peeve alongside his no-good father, Ryohei. "If you are responsible for what happened to Tokitoki, then I'll make you pay. Especially if you're also the reason I can't find any of my comrades."

He continued to wittle away at the doll in his hand, even during the moment that the young man had started to look over at him. The way that he looked at him was a passing glance at best, like he was shrugging off the idea that eh could be addressing him or like he felt as if his own presence here was not relevant enough to grasp then any other. But the moment that the man started to address him verbally he stopped entirely. It wasn't very jarring at all the way that it happened, more so just like every faculty of his body had held all production when he spoke. For a moment after him speaking he just sat there holding the effigy in his hand limply as he watched the boy's intense stare upon his being..yes, it most certainly was upon his being - that much he could confirm for sure. That being said he tossed the effigy over his shoulder and turned his body to face him fully, feet planted upon the ground as he set his elbows upon both knees and leaned forward examining the Lotus warrior. "You - can see me? Heh...at least one of the unaccounted for variables here is a pleasant one. " He chuckled as he waved a hand in front of himself just testing to see if the young man would follow it and acknowledge it, still in somewhat disbelief that the man could see him in the first place...it was apparent that whatever this was...it wasn't supposed to happen. He cupped his hands together and tilted his head as he watched him, now apparent that there were wheels turning in his head as to the situation regarding the young warrior before him but the specific details as to in what manner could only be eluded to with: "Tell me...you think, someone caused you to be separated from your friends? Heh thats neat - a bit of projection. No no see, the reason your friends aren't around is...because they were never with you in the first place...not really - when you think about it. Cause if they were here....in your heart and in your thoughts, heh they'd be here. You all aren't, connected yet. Perhaps never will be." The moment that he said tht about the heart and mind he pointed his thumb inwards towards his chest and then rest his finger on the side of the head symbolizing each. He shook his head when he mentioned it, rubbing the back of his neck afterwards before he stood up. As he did so - there would come a great rumbling, the ground beneath them both shaking and trembling fiercely as he simply scoffed and continued: "You see kid, every thing that we've seen - has only been a dream within a dream. Things tend to get a bit real...-" Before he could finish he pressed his hand upon air in front of him - like a mime framing his invisible box before finally he pushed forward and in doing so it was like the ground that Sentou had stood upon pulled all the way back like a red carpet down a hallway. The ground and forest around him would begin to kaleidoscope to the scale of the distance that was miraculously being placed between them and finally when one hundred yards were between the two of them the hooded man would stand at the end of a clear path surrounded on both sides by trees before finishing: "But at the same time...nothing is ever really real." That being said he would turn his back to the already handicapped young man, having done this in the first place because he had noticed without second guessing how he favored his leg and had surmised that he would not be capable of pursuing him. As he did this he would begin to walk away casually, both him and Sentou's opportunity for some answers to the cryptic puzzle piece traveling ever slowly further and further away.

At first, Sentou wasn't sure how to approach the man's first question. Just what did he mean when he asked if he could see him, why wouldn't he? At the moment, anger clouded the young man's thoughts as he failed to consider why he hadn't seen nor felt this individual previously. The young warrior's emerald eyes remained glued onto the masked figure as he chuckled as if hearing a hilarious joke prior to waving his hand. Was he serious about being surprised he had been found out or was it perhaps a distraction for something grander? Nothing seemed to make sense, but for now, Sentou would humor the mysterious individual and hear him out. Needless to say, his irritation continued to build, albeit slowly, as the masked one went on about his comrades as if he knew them. All this talk of heart, thoughts, and dreams sounded like something fresh off the press for a children's story or something more convoluted(Random Kingdom Hearts Plug), it made the young man scoff in defiance. "Ya sure talk a lot for someone beating around the bush. Quit being vague and just tell me wha-" Sentou's words would cut short as he felt the ground beneath shake violently. Instinctively wishing to brace himself for what felt like an earthquake, Sentou placed both feet firmly on the ground only to be met with a sharp pain shooting up his left ankle as he did so. A shocked yelp escaped his lips as he staggered back, stumbling even, before falling ass first onto the ground.

"Dammit!" He muttered aloud, scrambling desperately to get back onto his feet, but before he knew what was truly going on he'd notice that his surroundings would begin to twist and elongate until a massive gap had been made between the mysterious figure and himself. Was he running away, or was this a genjutsu to keep him restrained? There was only one way to find out, surging a concentrated amount of chakra throughout his body, Sentou would disrupt the flow abruptly in an attempt to release his mind from the possible illusion. The distance between the two was still massive, and as the masked figure began to walk away, Sentou understood that his attempt had been feeble. Perhaps it was a stronger genjutsu, or as he had suspected before, this individual was responsible for everything that had happened thus far. Returning to his feet, sporting a limp, Sentou could feel his frustration and irritation swelling up from within; his eyebrows came down and together as multiple veins pulsed from the side of his forehead. "Where are you going!? Answer me!" He shouted, a mouthful of spit spilling from his lips as he was caught up in the moment, unconsciously he was no longer suppressing his anger, "Gate of Healing, open!" he exclaimed, unleashing both Gate of Opening and Healing in unison. Removing his mental inhibitions once more, Sentou would find himself re-energized with the Gate of healing, all fatigue and exhaustion he had accumulated beforehand would be lifted from his body as if a giant magnet had relieved him from it. The pain in his ankle would subside for now, and as if testing out a pair of new shoes, Sentou would tap his left foot against the ground several times to confirm it was ready for use. "I'm talking to ya, answer me, dammit!" He said under his breath prior to taking a runner's stance and bolting after the retreating male. Had Sentou's one hundred-yard dash gone uninterrupted, he would catch up with the masked man within seconds without the need to catch his breath as he stood tall in front of the masked figure. Standing no further than five feet from the other, Sentou stared at him intently with eyes that could burn a hole straight through metal. "Enough bullshit, who the hell are you, and what did you do to the turtle?"

-The young man called out to the gold mask'd man as he started to walk away and as he did so the man did not so much as even look back at him - evident that in the moment he did not care at all that he was being yelled at and in fact thinking a'loud as the gap had started to form: "Tch'yeah - the talking is because I'-am- beating around the bush. Dumbass." he coughed from his lips as he shook his head - clarifying that he never did nor does have any intention on telling the man anything in the first place. His voice was crass and held either a pretty serious arrogance - or direct personification of control in the way he spoke. There was no tension to his dialogue at all, it was as if he was just chit chatting through his every day routine. When the expanse had been extended between them he had continued walking for just few steps more before he stopped. As he did such he started to pull a pocket watch of sorts from his side, examining it with great scrutiny despite the mask relinquishing no features that would make this readily apparent. He was waiting for something - and thus had stopped in his tracks. Had he been so certain that the man would not catch up to him? "It doesn't matter." He thought out loud almost as if to answer the very premise of that conceptual question in itself. By now the young man striking towards him quickly while he did so. It was fast - and to the young lotus warrior must have looked like zooming in through a telescope by the way that he traveled so quickly. But the moment that he did such the five feet that he would leave between them would be inconsequential. As if a machine built down on a tract the man turned an almost instant 180 - along his body was an outline, a silhouette of sorts with massive horns that would vibrate across his being and then shoot forward mimicking his motion - a shoulder rush straight into the chest of the man. He did this just as the man was going to stop - aiming to take advantage of that awkward space between moving immensely fast and trying to drop that momentum to slow down; expertly aimed to try and catch the man when he would be least able to react to such a quick motion in itself. When he did this the silhouette would launch forward sliding across the ground - and had it connected it would send the man sliding backwards across the ground on his back only to follow up with an attempt at grasping his face...its hand would expand his entire head and begin to drag him across the ground violently. Had this transpired Sentou would find that as he was being drug backwards - the path he slid upon would tilt more and more until finally he wasnt sliding down a path but falling down a hole - everything twisted as if the floor itself was just another wall and he had been free falling before finally snapping back horizontal and ending his fall - sending him back several feet before stopping. What was the man doing? Was this even the real world? He seemed to be capable of manipulating it on a whim. The silhouette (whether connected in both parts, one part, or not at all.) would return to his body and disappear, a jagged sort of tanto drawn from his hip as he spoke words that would change Sentou's entire perspective on everything he'd been taught to know.
"Totsuka? You should know - he didnt feel a thing."
