"Calm down now, it's really not that serious."

A young man and an over-excited sous chef seemed to be going back and forth with one another on the side of the road just outside a small resturaunt. The much larger Akimichi male was going on a tangent about how the young man would no longer be working with them anymore and it was evident that the younger male was in an attempt to try and de-escalate the issue: "Look. It'll be fine, really. You guys will do just as well without me and I'll leave you most of my recipes to go along with everything. You'll be fine. But I have to do this. The academy is going to have a new set of graduates here soon and I'm gonna have to be in tip top shape. It'll be my first squad, you know how much responsibility that is and I can't let them down. I'll find time between training and missions to come back and help out - I promise." he reasoned nervously. It was apparent that the head chef was absolutely floored by this news and even more apparent that the young man, Matori - was concerned and cared grealtly about the place. Giving such news was never easy in just such an occasion. But all in all things came to a close and the two parted ways. The young man took a leisurely stride down the street, hands in his pockets shuffling the pouches he had at hsi sides - with a red bookbag hoised over his left shoulder in contrast to the black wind breaker he wore. The pink haired male seemed to have not a care in the world, despite the heavy responsibility soon to be tacked onto him as mentioned before. He waved casually at the familiar faces that pulled his attention and continued to walk along the sidfe of the recessed waterway next to the street.

It had been a long and weird week for the young man from Kirigakure, his parents told him a week before the chunin exams that he was adopted and found at their doorstep as an infant. He had always wondered why his abilities were different than his siblings but the fact that he was adopted and raised with love even though his parents did not know where he came from. Learning that he was not a Hozuki and that his parents believed that he was from the Yuki clan. This was the most unnerving part of his week as he learned to harness his ice release better and better while being told not to use his adopted clan's famous water body technique. The next thing that happened was Kaigetsu Hozuki heading out to Konohagakure for the first time to be involved in the chunin exams, his squad consisting of two others had split up as soon as they got here in order to look around the famed village that stopped many wars.

Kaigetsu found himself within a weird district of Konohagakure after asking around about the best food shops within the village, to his surprise he came across a shop that had a good review while just outside there seemed to be an argument about something with a pink-haired kid, though he ignored the kid as he went into the shop to order. He found the food subpar and paired before leaving. As he was walking back towards the gates to meet up with his squad through the Akimichi District Kaigetsu grumbled a bit under his breath as he was timid and tended to avoid speaking to others outside of missions, "That was supposed to be a 4-star restaurant...? Konohagakure has low standards even lower for seafood apparently, sad too I was psyched to eat food from another village to compare but mom would whack me for even calling that a 1-star dish." He said as he passed by the pink kid from earlier rushing off to meet with the rest of his squad. Anyone looking could note the large blade on his back and the hoodie he wore with the Kirigakure symbol on the left shoulder.

The young man had already started departing. As he did so he heard the reprisal of a young customer that had just left the shop. There was a quick glance he took - but nothing more really. The much -older- man was beyond that kind of temper over an opinion about food that he didnt even cook, he did after all say that he needed to make himself available to take on a new squad of genin after all, what would he look like? A jounin getting flared up at not only a young kid but evidently a foreign visitor to their village. Either the kid simply had immature taste-buds, or this was simply a matter of different tastes to different individuals, perhaps he'd prefer a kids meal from the local Bunshin-Burger. Regardless - off on his way he continued his leisurely stride down the street - taking in the sights and the breeze across his face as he always had. He stood out from the other Jounin, where others were otherwise unapproachable, broody, or seeming over-important, Matori was just - there, happy and ready to perform his duty. His posture was good, his countenance was bright and his stride was energetic. He started to disappear down the road if not otherwise impeded as he started to slip his hand into his side pouch looking for something.

The Young man of the Hozuki clan took out his wallet placing down the money for the food he ate before sighing softly as he exited the shop rushing back towards where he was supposed to meet his group. He rushed through the streets at top speed realizing he was late from complaining about the food and eating slower than he should have. As he was rushing without paying attention the young man was unable to notice the head of pink hair he was about to run into because he was about to be late and did not want to get scolded again. As he finally started paying attention it was already too late he was only a few feet from the pink-haired man coming in at full speed. In his head, he could hear his sensei's voice yelling at him for causing an incident when they were there for something else.

If he collided with the pink-haired man in front of him he would apologize to them as well as see if he could offer him a meal to apologize for the inconvenience that he may have caused him. The collision would be a very strong one able to knock over a grown man if they were not paying attention and send them skidding five feet away while Kaigetsu would be following behind on their back face first. If they somehow noticed Kaigetsu rushing towards them at top speed and avoided it, he stop as fast as possible and turn to apologize to the man as he did not wish to cause any issues with Konohagakure or start any form of war or international problems.

Matori continued walking along as he was minding his typical day and making his way to attend the first briefing on the new candidates before they get to put a personal eye on them. As he went on his way along the side walk he could hear the sound of footsteps behind him - moving rather rapidly at that. From his periphery he could see that none of the villagers or other Jounin that were walking about the road seemed to be distressed or worried at all so he figured that this was just another villager late for their brunch meeting or the release of the next Shinobi Strike-Force pack opening. It wasn't uncommon for busy/late people to be found rushing through the village after all and the thought that it could be an enemy shinobi was offset by the fact that if they were in a hurry they would just take to the rooftops. If trying to assassinate him? Well, no one was going to try and assassinate him - he wasn't that high profile at all and there were plenty more shinobi in the village that had many more enemies then himself. He decided to just mind his business and keep along his way - mind still keeping note but it was very likely that the person would do the same as everyone else and just pass him by before becoming a distant speck on the horizon.

But with that thought came an exact confirmation that he was incorrect about that assumption. The moment that he was hit in the back his mind reeling with the internal thought of: *Come on man. All of this free and open road and you managed to still bump me? Jeez.* before his head whipped forward at the momentum and his foot stepped up to cut him off and catch his footing. With a hard stomp on the floor and hands in his pockets the pink haired man grounded himself and would become a solid wall for the young kid that had clumsily run into him. Turning ever slightly to look at him from across his shoulder he adjusted the headphones that were hanging around his neck a moment as he watched the boy batter him with apologies. He turned down any offers for diner and just shook his head: "Huh...foreign shinobi. Dont worry about it kid - it happens. Just ugh, bit of advice? If you're gonna be a shinobi you should probably work on making sudden stops. Could save your life."
He finished before turning back and continuing along his way. It wasnt near enough for him to stop for and it wasnt like he had not been used to mischievous kids bumping into him on the streets. He padded himself down to see if he still had all of the (very few) belongings he brought with him and upon confirming started to continue in full stride back along the road.
