"Born to blossom, bloom to perish" - 不幸の放浪者

Obediently she followed the group's pace as they made their ways to the given destination. There wasn’t a word that was uttered or a sentence that escaped her lips, she wasn’t really one to initiate conversation… That only reminded her of awkwardness around the group, she was aware that this caused some sort of distance. With time she hoped to find any comfort within her new group, closing in the uneasiness she retained from her previous lifestyle. It was then her movements were halted upon the loud and startled voice of Ko, in a clear confusion he felt the conscious arrival of no one other than Izanagi. Her gaze followed the direction Ko was gazing at, that is when she acknowledged Izanagi’s presence among them as well along with the following tangible intent. Her figure tensed at the changing atmosphere, as well observing how he carried himself along with his facial expression. A totally different person… that it felt like she compared her first encounter with the man and this one.

He approached the group as he passed by them solely focused on Sentou, his menacing glares and the way he made contact with him was questionable, shocking and not forgetting to mention slightly disturbing. After a few moments of almost thinking this was watching the interaction of prey and hunter the whole moment shifted in an instant and everything seemed more… bright. A different aura but one she recognized from before. It seemed he picked up Sentou’s question and went on about the history and importance of the necklaces. Misaho still was puzzled about what actually happened… Was this something that was normal? She looked around and gazed at the others for their expressions to see if this was a daily thing, or something unusual. Internally she was questioning if she should question this at all, but ended up not mentioning anything and let it go. She shifted her gaze to her pouch, where the necklace was. Now that she knew these were for their safety she knew it was important to keep it there at all times.

When she heard the handclap she looked back at Izanagi, she figured he was preparing for them to leave. But she wasn’t expecting them to be summoned away. The woman was someone who travelled everywhere by foot not because she likes to but she isn’t one who has experience with these techniques. While she observed him preparing them, she listened to his last words. This journey… was going to test everything about her and not to mention it was kind of dangerous. The slight nerve was kicking in because she was unprepared for this. But it’s too late to back out now. Right as he finished talking he went through the procedures to travel them. In an instant she was gone from the somewhat familiar castle to a place unfamiliar.

The air around them began to twist and become denser, darker. Kirinji’s eyes shifted toward Izanagi immediately. There it was. The shift was in character was apparent to him because he had witnessed it so many times. From the sly grin pocketed away in the corner of his mouth, you could tell that it was what he wanted to see. A wave of nostalgia washed over him as he spectated. More times than not what followed next after this change was pure, nondiscriminatory slaughter in the most glorious fashion. And while many would find that terrifying, it brought back some great memories of the war. The tiny hair on his skin raised in excitement. That was the Izanagi he was accustomed to. Yes, he was quirky, he had mostly always been. But behind that—was a Demon many feared. Could they also feel the weight of death looming over their head? Assessing threat levels was an important trait to have and it would be problematic if they did not know any better. As he thought this he glanced over at the others to see their reactions. It was no surprise that Ko had picked up on it. The new member, Misaho, recognized the intent as well.

He was reminded of the words delivered by the Old Man at Lucky Dragon Casino. “To be able to end a battle without the need of weapons shows great strength.” Oddly enough, that sentence has stuck with him from the moment he had heard it. For most of his life, Kirinji has had the mindset of a warrior. To him, the quickest way to end a battle was with a weapon so powerful that it could not be trifled with. Yet, with his eyes fixated upon Izanagi as he spoke, he realized that there was a flaw in his logic. What could potentially have more strength than what this man before him has? That monstrous strength displayed numerous times war and war as his mere presence ceased any and all conflict. An example of what could occur was not even necessary. Everyone knew. Was this the strength the Old Man had spoken of? Yet even then there seems to be a foe.

It was fascinating to see the reactions of everyone, but what was even more interesting was the catalyst that caused it. It seemed the man had some contempt, or some sort of negative feeling, toward Izanagi. How could he not? Kirinji couldn’t blame him. The rollercoaster of emotions Sentou had experienced, in a short amount of time, could not be understood but it could be empathized with. Perhaps a conversation with him at a later time would be beneficial. Just to see where his mindset was and if Kirinji could be of any assistance. More importantly, at the moment, there was a greater task that required their collective attention. With that thought in mind, and Izanagi showing his true colors momentarily, Kirinji would tie the necklace band around the belt loop and position the jade stone so it was right over his right pocket. Soon after they’d move forward as Izanagi would remove his red gloves. Under it? Several fuinjutsu formulas Kirinji tried to decipher before Izanagi clapped his hands together. From it released a bit of distortion as Kirinji prepared his body and mind for what was to come next. As Izanagi came to the end of his sentence, Kirinji breathed in deeply and closed his eyes before he heard the words of the technique. A bright blue chakra engulfed the group and then suddenly they had dispersed in a manner similar to the Flying Thunder God Technique.

They had been dropped just on the border of Ouka Prefecture just as Izanagi had stated. Kirinji swiftly walked out from the group and began to glance around their immediate surroundings. While Misaho took in the beauty of the Ouka Prefecture, Kirinji was scoping out their surroundings for any immediate potential threats. He even extended the range of his chakra sensory to see if he could pick up anything. Only after ensuring there was no threat would he relax momentarily as he glanced around. His attention mainly gravitated toward the kanji symbol on the tori gate — “Wisdom”, the blue-haired man whispered to himself. He would then turn and look at the rest of the group as he took a knee removing his backpack and putting it down in front of his knee. Kirinji then began speaking in response to Misaho as he dug out the map that had been given to them.

“Before we go in, it’s probably best I tell you all that I found on the Ouka Prefecture in the library. Supposedly, this area is one of the most primitive areas in comparison to the rest of Naraka. During the time of Mikaboshi’s reign,” he glanced over at Kasami’s Rinnegan. “He decided to not modernize Ouka Village because it had some of the best agricultural resources in Naraka and wasn’t militant. However,” he sighed, “The path we are about to embark on is potentially plagued with some of the most savage bandits known as the Black Powder Bandits. They were originally a part of the village, but when the animal life started to become too savage, something happened between them and the Senpu Monks. These bandits can’t use chakra in a weaponized fashion, but they are known for their innovative incorporation of Black Powder explosions in their combat and defenses, hence the name. So let's make sure we keep an eye out for that. I know this place is beautiful, but we need to remain focused and asses out any potential dangers before they come too close.” When he said those last few words his eyes drifted toward Misaho and Eiji. The man wasn’t done yet. He had a lot more to say and the more he spoke, the more anxious he became. Not for himself or Ko, but the others. They were inexperienced, young.

“There’s more. The Ouka Monastery is home to some of the most vicious wildlife in Naraka. I didn’t have time to research all that we may encounter, but I found out that the most common wildlife here is known as Soshiki. They are hounds that resemble wolves and run in pacts. These ‘hounds’” he said with a distinctive tone, “are covered in a living cell tissue which is a ravenous parasite feeding off the wolf it has been attached to. Their goal is to infect and spread and when the wolf is killed the flesh will explode and try to attach itself to any living organism in the area. So remember to keep your distance at all cost or else it’ll attach itself to you and feed off you in order to regenerate. It’s a tissue so the most optimal method would be electrifying it with lighting causing it to become paralyzed and numb. After that,” Kirinji gestured over toward Ko with an open palm, ”We follow-up with a powerful fire attack that would complete the removal and purging process. We can bait the hounds to us and hit them with some lighting when they get close, but if I do that, you guys can’t make any sudden or swift movements or it’ll fry your brains. After that, we move out the way so Ko can clean up.” Kirinji glanced over at the others to see if they had any response or questions regarding all that he had said. Had they not he’d stand up and roll open the map and look past the tori gate and into the forest. ”We should get going. I don’t know how long this will take, but it’ll be better to travel during the day. It also might be best for Eiji to lead us.” He glanced over at the young boy with feminine features. ”That puppet of yours—it’s gargonite, right? I think you should have it walk in front of us for potential traps.” The whole time he’d be making eye contact with the boy, waiting for his response. If they were all aboard, he’d wait for Eiji to lead the way and the rest of them follow. Kirinji would position himself behind the group with clear visibility of everyone. As he stepped through the gate, he’d run his hand across the pillar etching a Flying Thunder God Seal into the gate. Had anyone been watching, they’d see a light golden kanji glowing that would gradually fade away in brightness before camouflaging with the gate.

Kasami had fallen behind quite a bit since she’d finished her brief conversation with Ko. While this time was much different from the others before, she was obviously distracted by her thoughts. However, rather than being conflicted by the paths before her and the ones she’d recently disembarked from, she was trying to calculate a way to be smarter of where she walked. Ko’s words still resonated with her and she couldn’t deny the truth in them, or the gravity that they held. He raised her from deafness and she refused to become blind in the end. But it was a difficult thing for her. She’d always thrown herself into her passions head first, and until recently those passions had never had need to include the well-being and livelihood of an entire world. If there were any cause that was deserving of her utmost attention, she felt that it was that, but she also knew that with that came negative things. Naivety being one, but giving too much was another. So how could she balance all of this? To still nurture her compassion and yet guide herself with open eyes. It unfortunately felt like an unnatural thing to even consider, so she was having a hard time working through it in her mind, but she was trying. She at least owed him that.

As they started to cross the bridge and leave Kiyoshi behind, she had cast him one last wayside glance, but she didn’t say anything to him or make a scene of it. If he saw her, he’d probably suspect something, but it was left where it should be. If Mikaboshi wasn’t telling her anything else, then maybe she should leave it alone or deal with consequences that comes with prodding. The young kunoichi was present when Izanagi started to speak to them, and it seemed like everyone else was paying attention as well. Things were getting serious now, and she was getting seriously nervous. They were about to embark to uncharted territory, where allies were few and far between, and the only ones they had to lean on were each other. It was hard to tell if that was a good thing yet, considering some were new, and some were… hard to figure out. Very briefly her attention moved to Eiji, who looked as mentally distracted as he was, and then she looked away. So many different personalities coming together, but there had to be a way to bring them closer together. A ship sailed better with no gaps in its hull.

Izanagi offered them the trinkets and she had already felt like there was more to it than that simply because of how strange the gesture was, but it was Sentou that decided to ask about it, and she really wished he hadn’t. The ambience grew tense and she just finished taking hers and the extra one from Izanagi. She took a couple steps backwards away from the man and put distance between them. The seriousness in his explanation and the way the whole aura got thrown off made her a little nauseous but she maintained her discomfort internally. On the outside she looked just a bit anxious, and yet it lingered when Izanagi started to joke again, because they were now approaching their departure. She wasn’t ready, but there was no turning back. Not even if she’d wanted to- but she didn’t. Izanagi finished going through the motions and then they were overwhelmed by blinding light. All she did was close her eyes and let it whisk her away. But it was beautiful.

Eiji stood still confused by everything going on and how he got to where he was. It was all a very large long blur but he knew two things he was relatively safe. His mind was raising so greatly but something felt missing, he himself could not figure out what it was but anyone who knew the inner mechanisms of his mind would know immediately. He was missing Imperious or so it seemed, something was blocking Imperious from his mind.

As Eiji stood there in a daze he would hear a voice coming from behind him and questioning him. He turned to face the voice only to get a massive puff of smoke blown into his face before coughing a bit and blowing it away from himself by waving his hand back and forth quickly before looking at the man he had never seen before. He looked at him a bit startled before speaking in a soft-spoken voice and explaining everything he could remember about the merchant and how Ko told him to go back. He looked at the man with a somewhat sad face before speaking once more, "I don't know what to do now or if I'm even necessary here. I doubt I'm useful to the mission at hand... I don't know anyone who can train me, and I just don't know." Eiji's voice was trembling not in fear but in sadness at his lack of ability and usefulness before long he went back to silence while waiting for a response from the man.

For a moment there he stood, watching the boy as he almost instantly went in to an explanation that the man had absolutely not asked for. He went on and as he did the man simply pulled his cigarette back up to his lips - taking a drag with an indifference that seemed shaded over with just a hint of amusement. While he spoke there were even moments where he satirically nodded his head and hummed "Mhm...hm....mhm." as if he was following along - which for lack of weak attention span he were, however there was no genuine care there at all to what he was hearing come from the young man. The red gloved man let him finish and as he did he would take his sweet time; looking at him one more moment with a pause before he took a drag of his cigarette again and blew smoke circles up into the air - musically whispering to himself: "Ha...S.O.S~" telling a small joke to himself in reference to the boy's obviously distressed state that he was in at the moment. A part of the man relished in it, he was after all quite a sadist in the deepest extents of the word and that certainly did not bar emotional and mental sadism by far. However, soon his attention turned from his smoke and back to the boy as he tossed the fag down and stomped it out only to reset with hands in his pocket and begin to laugh: "Nyehahaha - WOW. You sound like suuuuuch a pussy right now. You must have lied your way through that telling them you were a shinobi cause - tch, there's no way kid. Ha - listen to your uncle Genichiro before I do you a favor and cut you six ways from Sunday. An apocolypse never happened in a day. I know you guys may be all skittering about trying to fix this place but guess what? It's gonna be broken for long after this monstrosity is dealt with and ever longer after that. Only thing now is we all have a common enemy. So tell ya what? I don't know what to tell ya - shit, I don't honestly give two shits to tell ya anything. But I always say - a good plan always starts at the dinner table. So mosey your ass on down that bridge and into that mess hall. Have someone cook you up a nice meal and just *He inhaled deep and exhaled slowly* Breath - shit head. We're all useless in the grand scheme of this cosmic irony called life. Just sit there and for once in probably the entire time you have been here, focus on you - be thankful for life and let it come to ya." And with that being said Genichiro adjusted his glasses, pushing his hand off the top of the boy's head ruffling his hair condescendingly as if he was a small child and giving him a slight shove out of his way as he took deep long strides down the path of the bridge to the main hall. He would subsequently pass the mess hall before finally getting to the main lift, all of the monks filling the mess hall - dabbled about the courtyard and the dignitaries and Scholars exchanged information like it was just any other day. The doors were wide open and the aroma that left the open doors was rich and savory. There was no sign of Kiyoshi, nor of the Doctor from before, not even Sakuya. All that was left was for Eiji to either take the man's advice - or find his way around and get to know the grounds.

The words of Genichiro were heard by Eiji as he looked at the man with a somewhat depressed face, he could easily tell the sarcasm and uninterest in the man's voice and even worse his words were similar to the words of everyone else in the fact that Eiji's feelings, his plight, or his weakness seemed to be ignored. For Eiji, being around anyone in Naraka made it hard for him to feel like he was anything more than basic. I mean his original team had a woman with wood release, Rinnegan, and Nara techniques; an Uchiha with Mangekyou and Flying thunder god(that he doesn't remember), Ikki who was given great power that he could not even fathom, Ko who was like an incarnation of a god to him and Sentou a man who could evaporate foes by looking at them.

While Eiji at the moment has two puppets he does not know where they came from and barely knows how to use them, a small amount of ice release that is nowhere near strong enough to compete with such crazy abilities, and a small amount of knowledge, but there was one thing he did somewhat grasp from this man's words. Is that against the Salesman and in Naraka there is always someone greater. He knew this for a long time but being in Naraka made it more apparent. Now Eiji had a choice set out before him by this man and he would take the second option going off towards the Mess hall after Genichiro left. He would hope to find something to cheer him or maybe someone who could train him. He knew he held his team back but during the whole time Eiji did have ideas about what he could learn to become a better help to his team in the future and one of those things was to be able to buff his team and debuff enemies during battle. His new poison already gave him part of that but he needed more along with the abilities to defend himself better against the dangers of Naraka.

There he was, in the middle of the mess hall in a way that was much unlike him - looking aimlessly. The man known as Eien Jigoku Satsujin, had been standing there staring off into space as if he had misplaced something but just couldnt quite put his finger on it...what was it that he had misplaced? Little did he know it was much less a matter of what he misplaced and more so a matter that he had been misplaced; he could remember it like it was yesterday...because it was only a few moments ago. He was standing in the middle of Ouka monastery looking for information, scouring their archives looking for an explanation to whats going on...the origin of his newly relieved burden. However, now he was here - and it all fluttered away like a dream...perhaps it was, such a sudden turn of fate had to be. As he stood there with his arms folded he noticed the boy known as Eiji come walking in. That was odd, he was a part of the new team that had come together and should be out on a mission at this point. He figured if any of them come back it would be in a box. Honestly - the man would not care under normal circumstance but Gogandantes was off on a mission, Tatsumi was missing, and The Tengu had left to who knows where - the only people here now were Oyodo, the otherwise occupied Izanagi, and now Genichiro - whom walked in behind the boy and traded packed glances with Eien. The two looking eye to eye almost daringly as Genichiro had come and gone with a smirk upon his lips. Eien huffed, sliding his hand under his chin rubbing there for a moment before it washed over his face - pushing back the strumming boil that had started rolling up at the sight of Genichiro. Exhaling slowly - he figured he would at least indulge his curiosity and so he started to make his way over to the boy.
His approach was not subtle at all, such was not the way of Eien at all - and it was hard to say whether or not that was the Oda in him or the Senpu monk more so. Cutting the boy off he placed his body in front of the path the boy was walking - his expression not tense at all however, he was quite a hulking bulk of a man. Initially it may be seen as confrontational given the history he had with the team and the fact that he was about to unleash literal hells upon them back at Kagane. But upon looking at him and listening to his voice one could tell that not only was he calm - but at the most he was only nagging about why it was the boy had returned so soon: "So what in the hell happened? I'm assuming you aborted the job. It didnt get hairy that quick did it, or is your team dead and only you survived? Come sit, you probably do better explaining to me before you tell anyone else. G'ah hell, you didn't tell him did you? Word of advice kid, don't tell Genichiro your problems. He's only glad you got 'em." The man patted him on the back with that bit of advice though it was a lazy and whimsicle pat the man's strength was still something he was yet to learn to control fully, not to mention he was not used to building conversation with inclusion of physical endearment of any kind. His pat may have been a bit harder then the boy was used to - doubtless one that could almost shove him forward as he directed Eiji over to the table everyone sat at. He would move over and await Eiji's words but he'd not sit himself; never was he the type to enjoy sitting, he always prefer standing. That in mind, he kicked his foot up on a chair and leaned over onto his knee - looking over at the boy with a blank expression waiting to hear exactly what it was he had to say about what went on.

Scratching is the first thing that Eien would hear as the door to the mess hall opened up. The sound of someone scratching the sleeve of their jacket and the sound would become louder and more clear as Eiji walked into the mess hall with the image of him scratching his coat sleeve nervously as he looked around the room with a timid expression on his face, anyone could tell that Eiji was struggling but from what would be hard to tell. It would be more apparent later on but now people would think it was due to Genichiro who came up behind him. After Genichiro moved away from Eiji and he would notice the approaching hulking giant of a man that was Eien.

He looked up at Eien though avoiding any form of eye contact. When Eien began to talk to him and attempted to approach him with a sense of weird affection or friendliness, it caused Eiji to tremble a bit right before being pushed forward from the pat on his back stumbling forward a bit towards the direction Eien pointed out. He would sit down as suggested looking in Eien's direction while avoiding his eyes still, "Well a lot happened but here's the short version..." Eiji said with a voice trembling before telling Eien the entire story from the way he could remember it.

Eien looked at the boy the entire time that he was going on about his story. After a moment of thinking he finally upturned his lip and gave the boy a stern facing. Throwing a wallet down on the table he let it sit there a moment staring at it in silence. And with that he would say: "You aren't useless. But if you dont start acknowledging that yourself then no one else will. Your self-proclamations become others image of you, so you cant blame anyone due to how you have been blaming yourself. So lets start from the bottom 'eh? Castle is low on rice. Head out to the fields east of Kagetsuchi, there's farmers all around there, you still have the necklace Izanagi gave you huh? Show that to them and they'll know you're there for the shipment. We'll start here, a short and sweet way for you to humble yourself and feel your worth. A great man once told me. If you cant be humble enough to offer the sweat of your brow, why should I waste my time offering you mine? Do this for me and we'll see about hm...harnessing your potential."

=There he was in his laboratory, looking at something that he had been working on in the medical wing of the castle that he had been granted use of for the time...thats all that he wanted to make of it - something for the time and he would rather not that time be any longer then need be in this place, especially with Chowa here now despite how curious he may be to the condition of the ones that lived here. Surely - if Ningen was a planet that housed the living source and Sozo, the original home and thus a state of being that presided beings of pure health. Then certainly there must be an opposite side of the mirror - a place that housed beings of pure sickness...thats what he thought of this place. Beautiful as it may be - this...Oni, it had to have been a disease - an illness, mutation of sorts. . . even cordyceps looked artistic - ravaging the brain of a worker ant. Refocusing himself from his project he shuffled some things around on his desk. He'd left Chowa in the courtyard with the other monks, students, and religious dignitaries that had frequented it in their daily. One thing that he had to give credit for - they were safe. At least as far as he could relate such a thing here for the time being. He'd spoken with Izanagi, no shocker that he knew precisely who he had been this entire time - even through his armor that was designed with particular doujutsu in mind...he couldnt help but be frustrated at himself with that - what design flaw had he overlooked? Regardless the conversation was exactly as he had understood it would go. The Black throne of Naraka had taken that if Chowa had been brought here then his potential was much more then they had assumed. . . he didnt like that. He wanted to get him out of here as soon as possible but had been told that would not be as easy as it sounds and that a solution was in the making. As per usual this was not good enough for Takewa *He's just a boy, and a young Sozo at that. You dont get it he isnt built like the rest of us, like me - he doesn't believe that there is any value, any solution in killing above the one that comes from the preservation of life. He cant take himself to that place he needs to go to be able to understand." the previous words spoken to Izanagi echo'd in his head. A pacifying behavior against his anger as he removed his glasses and rubbed his forehead - stabilizing himself against the flush of anger at the thought...he contemplated it a lot. How could you make it if you werent willing to excise the cancer permanently how could you cure a patient that was riddled with tumorous growth without removing it? Much less..do that in this place. He shook his head and pushed the thought aside - pettily slapping a beaker from across the table onto the floor as well so to alleviate some stress and knock himself back into composure as he fixated his glasses once more.
1663610927084.png
The Courtyard was vast, and full of young children, Chowa's age and younger as well as older along with the wise dignitaries and monks. Takewa stepped out onto the front step of the medical ward to the west of the main castle that towered over everything and began to casually scan the area for him. The other boy was of no consequence...he couldnt even remember where he had gone...how like him to misplace the humans. Adjusting his glasses upon his face he exhaled deeply - almost like a person waking and getting ready for the day - which in a way...pink suit, baby blue tie and his casual business attire now on - he was. A day in the life of Director Hideo, Takewa's more business like persona...he was getting ready for a day in his mask.

There in the grand courtyard of Mebu Castle, the young and inexperienced Chowa Sozo sat with the other children around his own age as the wise monks and dignitaries that had been currently enjoying their time within the beautiful scenery of the courtyard discussed different topics such as philosophies, training and much more. For the young boy, he was quite interested in what the monks had to say as he himself had hoped to when the chance arose to question the monk about a skill that he had acquired not long before arriving in Naraka by sheer fluke. it was a book of strange medical procedures and techniques that seemed to be neither of Naraka nor the land where he came from. Within this book was housed a skill that with the assistance of the monks and guidance of Takewa may lead to his growth in leaps and bounds, though for the time being he was a mere visitor and believed it wasn't yet his time to ask about these techniques.

As Chowa sat there listening he would be none the wiser to the appearance of his mentor who had seemingly left his lab and begun to take in the view of the courtyard. All the while as Chowa was trying to enjoy himself he hadn't noticed the disappearance of Eiji, and while he was planning to be friends with the boy he was still a stranger and his disappearance may be for his own betterment. For CHowa though he was still oblivious to the true dangers of this world and the fears of his mentor with his own more passive view towards others.

"Suffering - for the better part of speaking, is centripetal to the growth process of all things and as a whole - the world. There within the only way to truly gauge someone's alignment in the eye of the world is to gauge their ability to cause or halt suffering, by the metric of how much they are or have already suffered. To live and not have suffered - is an indication that oneself is stagnant. And to flourish without experiencing and owning a pre-determinant of suffering , is to have privilege for the course. "

"I simply must disagree. I do not deny that the centripetal fuel for growth is found within suffering. But this is only through the act of empathy - for how can one know how to treat a wound to perfection, that they themselves have never experienced? Suffering is not the antidote - it is simply a necessary symptom to be managed. One's worth is not in the amount of suffering they experienced nor in the amount they can continue to experience and live through or create. One's worth is shown through the healing hand, the ability to suffer and through empathy, through great understanding see yourself through the flesh of one before you and know exactly what to administer. To administer the proper remedy so that others, need not suffer as you had. You may teach without suffering. The same as you may suffer without ever having teached. The key is in the heart - whether it takes suffering one time to learn, or not at all. The path of the open palm is the only way."

"But one simply can not be born with the empathy and foresight to ease the suffering of another. Self-preservation will always be priority till enough suffering brings a group together. Therefore suffering is key. The path of the closed fist is the only way."

"The Hadou Of Life is the only way!"

"The Hadou Of Death is the only way!"

The dignitary and monk debated back and forth there before Chowa..it had been a debate that they had for some time now, every day at this exact time they would coem to the courtyard and try to convince the other of their beliefs...sometimes the points were different and sometimes they were the exact same. Izanagi watched from on high - looking down over the courtyard from the observation window of the throne room looking at the two. However where he would watch them he would look back at Chowa trying to read responses and reactions to see where he stood among the two debating. What would he choose? What would any of them choose?...It was such an important question - one that he couldnt shake no matter what day it was, what he felt, or how heavy the clashing between the beast within the walls had been prior. Eiji, Ikki, Sentou, Kasami, Kiyoshi, Gogandantes, Eien, Kirinji, Ai, Daikokyuten, and even Takewa and Chowa...any of them could make a choice at any second...a simple choice made in a second that could change the term of an entire century...choice was such an important thing...but also such a subtle and underestimated thing. So easy to make a choice - and yet so hard to undo a choice once it was made. Even now the words of the two monks could be influencing a choice that will be made further down the line. This was always the problem for Izanagi...he didnt see himself - even as he looked between these two right now, the close minded - protective Takewa stalwart in his duty to clan. Afraid of...something, though unsure if its something particular or himself. And Chowa, young in the cusp of his youth, carrying his perspectives, morals, and ideals of the world into not only his first very real conflict...but one so much larger then life that even the seasoned shinobi of the world he was from wouldnt cut it. He had so much potential to grow - and thats what scared him the most about it...because he had so much to lose too; he'd only be able to imagine how Takewa must feel about it. Pinching the bridge of his nose Izanagi tried to pacify against the notion that he just should tell everyone to go back to their lives before. Leave. He would handle it all himself. They had so much to lose and roping them into this didnt feel right. It felt selfish. But thats the kind of position that he was in - thats why he had sought out power in the first place in his youth. So he would never have to rely on someone else and get them in harms way again.

Meanwhile, Takewa approached Chowa, walking up from behind him. He stood there with his hand sin his pockets listening to the two monks for a moment as they went back and forth. They had a lot to say. Takewa listened to the two and didnt bother to look down at Chowa sitting just before him with the other students, he was analyzing something, Takewa had been here for a while you see, and every day that he had been here he recognized that this was a common pattern in the day with these exact same gentlemen. He couldnt help but scoff and smile at the thought in his head: -Here, at all this time two completely opposite spectrums of the philosophy. Enemies, more or less. And yet they still meet here, every day, at the same place, and discuss the same thing sometimes in the same ways.- He couldnt help but think about that. Is this about philosophy or is this just the dynamic between them now? These two are more friends then they probably realize, a good explanation as to why no violence or venom has come of this. They disagree...but they respect each other and appreciate the varying opinion and he'd even wager...one or the other would be very deeply hurt if for some tragic reason the next day the other...simply didnt show back up. Rubbing his chest in an unspecified moment of discomfort he cleared his throat to get Chowa's attention. "We should go. You need to meet him yourself - understand what lays before you and what options we have going from here. Come with me, we're going to meet Izanagi." five words that were certain to mean different things to different people of the course of history. Takewa started to walk into the main keep, passing the mess hall asking Chowa if he was hungry or not? They'd stop and dine in for a moment if so, with Takewa doing nothing more then drinking a glass of lemon water before they proceeded onto the elevator up to the throne room. A large circular platform that looked more like a sumo arena then an elevator. He looked over at him and reassured: "So far...I have to say he is not as bad as they talk about in the history books by far. But with that being said - regardess of how you feel, make your choice. You owe nothing to no one and only you can decide whats right for you Chowa." he looked concerned. Takewa had seen a great many shinobi pass - willing to sacrifice it all for a chance to prove themselves and dying for the sake of glory or self-validation. He just wanted Chowa, like the rest of his kin to be safe. And right now? He wasn't sure if the current scenario was what was best for that.

The monk and the dignitary standing before the young Sozo were deep in their debate as they continued to argue their points about their opposing views and beliefs on a certain topic. The topic of discussion had been suffering, more specifically the idea of whether is suffering required for growth or whether can growth occur just the same without suffering. As he would listen on completely absorbed in the debate he would be soon hit with a somewhat shocking realisation, and that realisation was that these men seemed to look at this so-called Hadou of Life and Hadou of Death as separate things that do not need the other. While the boy was unsure of what this concept of hadou was, seeing as it was a he was a foreigner in an unknown land, but for all his understanding no matter what you believed it was a simple universal fact that life and death went hand in hand as without one the other ceases to exist. The cycle of life and death requires the existence of both so why is it that these men believed that only one was the correct way. This was he thought that made their way around his mind as he listen to them completely oblivious to the eyes that seemed to lay upon him.

As Chowa had been sitting and thinking about the concepts that these wise men had being discussing he couldn't seem to shake the thought of his own beliefs. More specifically the Kyumeiken, or as it is also known "The Life-saving Fist". Due to this and his questions about this hadou that they spoke of Chowa had planned to question the men about this hadou and why they felt the way they did about it, though before he could gather the right words he would hear the sound of a man clearing his throat could be heard. Chopa knew exactly what this meant as his father had done this many times when he needed to grab the boys attention in the past. Upon hearing it he would return his head breaking his sight of the men to turn to see that the figure who had being trying to grab his attention was seemingly none other than his mentor Takewa.

The greeting from the man he called sensei was very sudden and abrupt neither beginning with a hi or even a hoiw are you. This might have come across rude to some but for Chowa he had grown accustomed to the way his sensei spoke. Chowa had planned to greet his mentor properly but was caught off guard by his words. "So it's finally time sensei. I finally get to meet the man you told me about,"said Chowa in a calm and respectful manner as he would standup dusting himself off before turning to the wise men and bowing to them to show his respect and thank them for allowing him to watch and learn from them. Once he had said his goodbyes Chowa alongside Takewa would make their move as they made their way into the castle, through the halls and up the lift passing through the messhall on the way. Chowa who had being asked if he was hungry would accept as the two would sitdown to eat as Chowa showed of his large appetite that seemingly felt out of place for his build and body, never the less oncew they had finished they would continue on towards the throne room of Izanagi. Before they would arrive though Chowa would be seemingly pressured by his mentor that no matter what happens or is said only Chowa himself can decide what is right and wrong in his eyes. This support that he was receiving from his mentor had helped the boy to remain confident in the face of the impending meeting with the legendary figure known as Izanagi.

As the lift started to get up to the upper floors there were only fleeting moments before Izanagi would come into view of the two. All the while before they arrived there would be no sensible source of life nor chakra in the room...however he was very much there. Something about the man was as if he was trying to...keep himself together - for lack of better words. The way everyone saw him it was as if everything was under control, like he was carefree and going on about his goofy way and research but underneath it all...the fight with the salesman, keeping him at bay while simultaneously playing to the rules was taking a toll on him. He recited something under his breath looking out the window to the courtyard, his expression strained on the surface...but in the reflection of the glass you could see...something else sitting under his skin...an entity of purple flesh depicted of death and a blade locked in its jaws. But soon - the lift ascended completely and he was gone...
...

"WHOA! Did either of you s-...did you....did you see it? Something didnt jump down the lift and scurry off before you got here did it!? Small thing, but ya couldnt miss it - like the size of a dog. Green, scaly, looks like a frog *He whispered* Dont call it a frog though, or a turtle - irritates the hell out of them. *he continued in an uproar* That little bastard's a wild one, no one's knee caps will be safe! Jinrei's gonna kill m-" he cut himself off when his eyes focused on Chowa, he had come around from behind the two - one of the perks he liked about tghe circular lift, he could greet a guest from any angle. When he finally came around to the front and saw him, the signature eyes and hair of the Sozo he looked between him, and Takewa only to be met with an expression from Takewa that would be symbolic of a situation much more dire then the demeanor that he was putting on. "Oh...that - certainly is unexpected." he said folding his arms over one another and sipping his coffee from the small cup in hand while looking at Takewa. The look that he gave him had very mixed signals in it. He knew that Takewa did not want to be involved in all of this if he could help it, but since he was here he would have done the most he could since they had a mutual enemy now. But this? It changes things. Gave him something to lose and not only that...but proved a bit more of what Izanagi had been telling him before when he was met with the retort of a skeptic. There was almost a "Believe me now?" in his expression as he looked to Takewa before turning to walk towards the window: "I know who this one is. Chowa, one of the youngest if Im correct. I must admit if anyone was brought to my doorstep, I'd have not guessed that one. I'd have thought the boy, Mowa would be to the taste preference of the Salesman...hm...I dont like that." He stopped, slapping himself aside the head as he turned half way to pivot his hips towards them pointing back at Chowa to symbolize his focus re-setting: "I'm sorry, thats rude of me. You - are Chowa, of the famous Sozo clan. I, stand before you - Izanagi Mikoto of the Mebu clan. Or as your history books may remember it, of the Uchiha clan. Though - thats honestly not accurate either but. What can ya do? I...I do apologize for the circumstances of your arrival here. Unfortunately I'm afraid you have been drafted into a war, and I'm sure that you will have plenty of questions for me." He started to sip from his cup once more, his eyes focused upon Chowa with a palpable sympathy and regret - only until suddenly his golden eyes widened as he yelped out an exclamation spitting out some of his coffee. "GYAAH! ARE YOU SERIOUS!?" He yelled as he was truck in the knee by a small frog-like creature with an elongated snout and a small stone hammer in hand. the creature had crawled into view while the conversation had transpired and jumped up, striking Izanagi in the knee with the hammer in an attempt to get him to buckle down. Seeing its failure the creature scampered off, running to a far corner of the room where a staircase ended on the floor as it disappeared into the dark. Izanagi sucked his teeth as he watched the creature flee, rubbing his knee with his free hand as he muttered under his breath: "Its only a child...its only a child....remember...you cant kill it - its someone's child.." he didnt sound too sold on the notion.

His confused expression never washed away even as he stood in the Mebu Castle Hallways. For a moment he just stood there and soaked in all the information he had just received. A troubled mind indeed. The wheels in his mind were not just turning, they were racing at thousand miles an hour and cornering too. Had someone come across him just brooding in the hallway, they’d think the man was on the verge of a mental breakdown, but that wasn’t entirely the case. Kirinji was preparing himself, preparing his mind. There was no luxury afforded to them to delay the moment because they are not destined to live forever. Death hangs over them, imminently. So they must expect to suffer, so that they may suffer less. Fate falls heavy on those who she is unexpected; the man who is always expecting her easily withstands her. Does that mean it stops your suffering if you are enduring it in a cowardly manner?

It does not.

You must be ready to burn yourself in your own flame, only to arise anew if you have not first become ashes. There was a situation that warranted his attention, but fixating on it would only torture him and the mind does not function when it becomes attached to a single situation. They needed to become like water, formless and adaptable to any situation. And with that in mind, he was off maneuvering through the castle with relative ease as he found his way to his destination.

There was a squeal coming from the creature followed by a dramatic silence when Izanagi was trying to rationalize the age of the creature. To the onlookers, one would’ve wondered what had happened: Did the child get hurt? Did it run into something? But their questions would be answered as the blue-haired man stepped out from the shadows. He had arrived from Oda Castle not too long ago and just by appearance you could tell he had been through it. Grabbing the creature by the back of the neck with a secure grip, he glanced at the creature and then at Izanagi was a disgusting face, “This is absolutely disgusting.” The way the word rolled off his tongue you could tell me meant every single word. With that being said, he walked over to Izanagi holding the creature as he tried as quickly as possible for the man to take it out of his hands. Kirinji then turned toward the other two, nodding his head in respect to Takewa before his eyes fixated on Chowa. He hadn’t known the man directly, but there was something unique about him. Kirinji’s eyes narrowed as he examined the makeup of the young man, and a unique feeling came to mind. “Ahh, I'm having some deja vu ” he chuckled to himself glancing at the other two. "Judging by the looks, I'm assuming it was that things doing that he's here? Funny that it's him," Kirinji nodded his head at the joke probably he was only getting as he walked off toward the side of the room. “I was wondering why when I was walking here I felt such a nostalgic presence. Come to find out, it's not even him. But it's a nice reminder, I haven’t tasted that flavor in ages!” he said in regard to Chowa. As he walked off to the side Kirinji began patting down his suit as dust clouds jumped off of his clothes and into the room, grumbling to himself about needing a shower before turning back to Izanagi, "Hey man, I'm need some new clothes. None of that cheap stuff either, I want one of yours!" He wasn’t happy in the slightest and was even annoyed with the whole scenario he had been thrown into. But they probably had some questions for him, Takewa, and Izanagi. First and foremost why he was here and not with the others unless they already knew?

Within the confines of Mebu Castle the elevator containing and transporting young Chowa and his guardian/mentor Takewa the boy stood there his mind racing as he thought of the current situation that he was involved with. He was in such an odd and unknown place and he was about to meet the only person who can educate him on the strange new world that he will be forced to endure. These thoughts wouldn't have too much time to concern him though as the elevator would quickly arrive at their destination. The air surrounding him was so thick you could cut it with a knife, it was as if his heart was about to jump out of his chest. The mere thought of meeting this legendary figure known as Izanagi put fear into him, but the first impression he was greeted by upon stepping off the elevator changed that quite a bit as he was greeted by the man himself as he asked about some creature that he was worried about.

This sudden outburst by this powerful figure he had been informed of was not what he had expected but even then there was still something off about the man they called Izanagi. It was as if no matter how calm or relaxed he seemed there was always something that instilled fear in you. Well at least in the under-prepared and under-trained Chowa. After hearing the question about the creature Chowa was to shocked to answer which led to him maintaining an awkward silence as the man looked at him. The moment the eyes of Izanagi locked in on him and the words began to part from his lips Chowa couldn't help but feel frozen in place. The man in charge of this whole place was personally addressing him and it worried him esspecialy as it became clear that his presence within this place was the last thing that Izanagi had expected, though this wouldn't be the end as Izanagi seemingly apologised right after as he had felt like he insulted the poor boy.

"N-n-no sir, I mean Lord Izanagi," said Chowa trying to formally address the man and failing as he stumbled over his words a little. "There is no need to apologise I have to agree I would have thought they'd be more likely to choose any other Sozo like my brother as you mentioned, but for reasons beyond me I was brought here and as you said I'm now apart of this war your fighting," said the boy still shaky but much calmer since hearing how calm and relaxed Izanagi was. Following this, he had planned to ask more about him and this place but would soon be caught off guard as a little green monster tried to take out the kneecaps of the powerful man before seemingly fleeing in terror at its failure. Chowa had no words for what he had seen and before he could even begin to think of what to say a new being would make their presence known as a blue-haired man would step through the doorway leading to the staircase holding the green monster in his grasp as he entered.

To Chowa this man was someone unfamiliar but, it would soon become apparent from the way this new arrival acted that he knew Chowa or in the least someone related to him. The man spoke only to Izanagi but he made it very clear thsat most of what he said involved Chowa. As he listened the confusion grew as Chowa wondered who it was that he resembled that may have had some connection with this man.

The moment before Kirinji had emerged from the shadows Takewa had already been looking with a bit of confusion in his brow. Then the moment that he came clearly into view there was apparent confusion on his expression...he had gone out on the mission with the others - had he not? He saw them leave. The others were not with him, was this the begining of news that would bode ill for the group? What should they be expecting? He couldnt help but look to Izanagi to try and read his facial expression for answers and as he had been afraid - the man's laid back demeanor had shifted. He was looking out of the side of his eye head turned downward and tilted a bit. It was something of a pacification demeanor that people showed. Natural - to tilt ones head in a moment of uncertainty or possible threat, the body was liable to tilt the head so that the brain can distance and regulate elevation between each ear - allowing it to hear more properly and process information being accessed between both ears in the moment. It was something you would see often between animals on the hunt to gauge the potential prey or threat and Izanagi was showing it in spades right now. Of course...bad news to follow right on Chowa's first impression of what he was getting into. He watched n silence - as Izanagi gave the typical smile that was associated with someone humoring the small talk but aware that there was bigger issues to discus - he was being polite, not genuine in the way he smiled. He let Chowa process what Kirinji had been saying and let him finish his comments back though it was apparent that he was focused on Kirinji at the time. Just before he got to the part about needing new clothes he interrupted him - by this time Izanagi's eyes very sharp and serious as his tone seemed to change over night. "You've been...displaced. Oda Castle - you were there weren't you?" He asked, letting the silence sit after the fact. Unknown how it was that he knew but it was very evident that he had not known for long - however, instantly when Kirinji entered the room. His nose ruffled, perhaps he had smelt the familiar place upon him or maybe...there were additional manners to tell. He let the Kappa set in his palm, looking at him as the youngling looked back not bothering its previous mischief. It knew better when it saw this particular demeanor upon the man and subsequently Izanagi set him down and squated, pointing to him and then to the garden fountain in the room off to the side. There was a single cucumber sitting on a pedestal in the pool at the bottom and Izanagi curtly ordered: "Home. Now. No excuses." and with that the kappa child scurried over, taking the cucumber and embracing it like a long lost friend before diving into the water and dispersing in a burst of light.
"...To simply relinquish unto the sea, and have your trouble erased in kind." He recited to himself in thought. Jumped into the water and the kappa's problems were gone....he was home now. The only thing that he had gotten once set into water was woes and suffering by many different accounts. . . and now so too would they and here he was about to put more on them. Izanagi stood up again, chuckling. "I'll need you to give our tailor your measurements. But I'm sure we can work something like that up for you. . . What happened at Oda castle. . . I'm sorry but there are many things I can not tell any of you. What you saw there - was only a glimpse of the true war being waged within. I take no pleasure in putting you all in position to engage in a proxy war while the truth wades at the top...But we have to be absolutely sure..." He turned his back to them walking over to the window that overlooked the courtyard, canyon, and Kagetsuchi in the distance, placing his hand against the glass he looked out thinking about what they all had to lose and Takewa behind him looked upon him with deep conviction - knowing what it was that he had to hold and perhaps not approving of holding such though he did understand...he knew that it was something that he would need to come to terms with divulging himself, even though he did not approve of leaving them in the dark at all. As Izanagi turned back to them all his head was hung to the ground, chuckling at his own shame that he could not prevent things happening the way that they had he would smile and look towards Chowa: "Just Izzy or Izanagi will suffice. A Lord would have done more within his capability to stop things from getting where they have now. Or so im told. It is true - you have been pulled into a war. Not only for the fate of Naraka as she is but the waking world - where you're from as well. Imagine a tailed beast. Like the nine tails of Konoha - and put them together in an onslaught against the world. Now imagine a beast that can take that onslaught, and at a whim culminate the destruction of its yield and split it asunder to rip a'new the world. And finally now imagine a beast that holds that world in the palm of its hand - watching in amusement as these creatures believe they are something more. Only to crush them all in the palm of its hand when it best suits them to fashion. That creature? That is what we're dealing with. We call it the Mask Salesman. On account of the fact that it takes the reverse approach that a biju would to a Jinchuriki suitor - and takes the body of a host to act as a proxy in its stead among people to manipulate their fears and insecurities against them." The fact that what he had to say next was something previously undisclosed and more direct - he would look to Kirinji; making sure that he knew well that in lieu of what he had experienced in Oda Castle - he would get at least some answers: "But what we know him as here, within my inner circle. Is Shuten Douji - The All
Consuming. A powerful monster from a distant land that wishes nothing more then to foster strength in its prey - and then consume a mass amount of powerful opponents to gorge itself on the rancor of battle and struggle. It brings people here, much like you - that it selects that has potential in themselves. Hoping that they will become powerful garnish for its bloody banquet to consume when its had its fill. Hm...it favors puppets. At least strongly so with its proxies. And we believe that someone among us is one of them - a spy planted in our ranks. And the worst thing yet is that even the victim - will not know that they are a puppet until it's done playing its sick game. Hence why I have been...particular with information given to all of you." Takewa upturned his lip in disgust at the thought, pushing his hair back out of his face a moment as he had to divulge his own discovered truths to clarify what could be a major question: "These puppets. They're much more sophisticated then any I have ever seen...they can hardly be called such. Even my Naibugan and medical expertise can not discern the difference between an organic human being and a puppet if they were standing right next to each other. So dont rely on Doujutsu. I'm not sure how it does it - but its something of a disheartening point to all of this...hence why I attacked you and the other boy when I met you, in fear that the creature had isolated me to play some kind of sick game." Izanagi nodded to Takewa, a thanks for covering that bit of detail that he'd forgot to mention. Crossing his desk - he would pull another jade amulet from the side along with a few strips of paper (4), vouchers. Approaching Chowa he would hold the amulet by the string and present it before him: "What we have here is horrific I know. And there is no shame in turning away from this - especially with a young boy such as yourself with a bright future and so much to lose. But one thing about the salesman is for certain. He can not deny his appetites. And if he brought you here then it is because he knows there is a hidden potential in you that I personally, have no qualms against using. It thinks it can stay several steps ahead of us but myself? If he under-estimates me and wants to hand me excellence on a platter to fight back with. Then I will sharpen every ingot he gives me into a blade that will rend his flesh with ease. And I guarantee you that when we're done - you will be one of the sharpest of those blades. I'm sure Takewa would assure that. Both of you - if you've any questions I will answer them...I've no reason to suspect that either of you would be the leak from within...the Salesman..he makes dealings with those that live within death - but venture to Oda Castle? He would never. But make your stance now. The road ahead is perilous and filled with danger, more then you've ever known in your life. War should not simply be place that the old - send the young to go die." He would say while holding the amulet and vouchers before Chowa looking between the two as Takewa glanced down at Chowa from behind. His expression was calm and still - but there were many assertions and worries within him about what decision Chowa will make - in both possibilities of choice. And in the moment leading up to it waiting for a response was like the moments before cutting the fuse on a bomb.

Oh ho ho ho! (Merry Christmas) There he was, there was the real Izanagi. The white hair silver-tongued devil was known to be an expert at manipulating affairs through just speech alone. Eloquent as ever, Kirinji was sure that the Izanagi Chowa had met was much more cheerful and upbeat than now. He wondered how the image of Izanagi shifted. It must be tiring, Kirinji surely would be tired. Plans being ruined because of one thing or another, perhaps it is Naraka’s will or another’s, a victim nonetheless. It must be tiring to keep that facade. People being displaced, plans going awry, and suffering incalculable losses. The Blue Ogre? Missing. Oda? Missing. Warriors being lost and replaced with—Kirinji’s eyebrow subtly winced as he glanced at Chowa while having the thought, children. How long would Izanagi hold together the masquerade before he decides to send everyone home and handle it himself? It must be exhausting fighting The Salesman and leading a war. Oh how the wheels turned inside his mind as all the puzzle pieces began to string together, painting a clearer picture than before.

It was quiet and somber, chills down one’s spine could be felt because of how tense the air was. It was nearly palpable and could easily be cut with a blade. The ramifications of those words, being displaced in Oda Castle, could potentially be understood by Izanagi alone. However, Kirinji experienced it. Who knows to what extent because surely the castle had more to offer. There was nothing warm about that place, not even in the slightest. The questions Izanagi had required no verbal answers. Izanagi already knew and it was evident in Kirinji’s body language that he was. Kirinji took in a deep breath and as Izanagi asked him the next question, Kirinji began to take off his suit jacket and place it on the couch. Next would come unbuttoning the cuffs all while Izanagi explained his reasoning. Yet all Kirinji heard was the truth being hidden from them. Not equipped correctly, in information or ability, yet sent to somehow aid in a war. They were essentially food for Naraka. “Indeed I was. Quite a welcoming visit I must say,” Kirinji chuckled as he began to unbutton his shirt. “How I got there? I don’t know. I just woke up there and Toyotomi Hideyoshi was also there, or what was left of him. Not before long, the host came to—well, host. As the good guest I was I ate as much as I could, and when I was full, other guests came out of the shadows.” Kirinji was purposely talking in this cryptic manner, he didn’t want to scare off the fresh meet.

By the time he was done speaking, Kirinji’s shirt had been completely off and he had begun to loosen his pant buttons while he walked toward the corner of the room. He was stripping and the show wasn’t going to be free. Times weren’t that tough, yet. As he stepped behind the divider obscuring their view of him, and his view of them, Izanagi would’ve turned his attention to Chowa and Kirinji listened closely. Kirinji would soon come out behind the divider just as it was decision time for the young Sōzō. Wrapping his right arm, had they looked over they’d see that his fingertips and palm were fully black. He was now in dark blue ceremonial clothes in comparison to the suit he wore. There weren’t Izanagi’s clothes, but he already knew that he’d never hand over his clothes. That would be equipping the warriors with what they needed. Kirinji stood just on the outskirts of the three nearly huddled together, leaning on a pillar as he observed the scene. What Chowa had been offered was not truly a choice, but an illusion. The illusion of choice. Either way, he would endure consequences, but with one he would have the opportunity to change the outcome. What would he do, what type of man was he? These were the thoughts that Kirinji was stuck with as he spectated what would come next.

Within the confines of the building in which the man known as Izanagi made his home, Chowa stood there silently as he made sure to listen carefully to èven if he was still confused and unnerved by the sudden and drastic escalation of the situation that was about to unfold. The problem seemed to begin with Izanagi and the young Kappa who had previously tried to kneecap the man. and resulted in the arrival of a strange individual who seemed to know something about Chowa but wouldn't let on what it was. Chowa had no idea what to do at the moment so he simply stood there and carefully listened to the three men who were there with him as they spoke. The only thing he could do right now stood there and listen and he did just that as he listened carefully to the two men converse that spoke of numerous things many of which confused Chowa as he had no idea what or where they were talking about.

The conversation wouldn't last long as it would quickly come to a close as Izanagi switched his attention to the young Kappa who had kneecapped him earlier and commanded him to leave. It was an odd scene for Chowa as he watch the kappa take off and leap into the water embracing a cucumber like an old friend or lover. Once Kappa had disappeared and seemingly return to where it had come from the conversation picked up again as the two spoke of measurements for tailors and what had happened in a place they referred to as Oda Castle. In the end, though this wouldn’t be what concerned Chowa as what came next was much greater and far more intense than the boy had been prepared for, as Izanagi spoke informing him that he did not need to call him lord which seemed like an attempt to calm the boy's nerves before he moved on to the real goal of this meeting and the reason for why Chowa was brought to this place and who it was that forced his arrival to occur.

What the young Sozo would hear next though was not for the faint of heart as Izanagi began to speak, and the words rolled out they spoke of a great evil whose meer presence was more dangerous than the greatest threats their world had ever seen, and that included the Ten-Tails. The Demon King Naraku who his mother sacrifice her life to protect the world from. Chowa couldn’t help but feel a little fear as Izanagi when explaining the entity's plans and goals before explaining that they called it the Mask Salesmen, but in reality, its true name was Shuten Doji and he was hungry and ready to devour all he saw as strong. This shocked young Chowa but what came next was even more terrifying than the Mask Salesmen and that was the reason for Takewa’s original actions towards Chowa and the boy he was with.

This new information did nothing but further confuse Chowa, but at the same time it surprisingly had potentially answered a question he had wondered since his original run-in with Takewa. In the end, though before Chowa could speak Izanagi approached him with a necklace in hand and some slips of paper and presented them to Chowa before giving the boy a choice. To most this choice would have been one that took time to answer, but for Chowa there was only one answer, as he sort out Takewa after he saved Chowa’s life so he could grow and right now his life was in danger and those who stood before him had the power to help him grow.

“Lord Iza– I mean Izanagi. I was raised to help others and do whatever I could to save lives. I have lived by the belief of the Kyumeiken and its belief that all life is sacred, but this thing wants to prey on others including me. I may be weak, but if you are offering to help me grow stronger then I will do everything I can to help you fight this monster,” said Chowa as the fear and nervousness seemed to fade away into courage as he stood his ground and accepted the offer of Izanagi as he took the amulet from the older gentleman along with the slips of paper which he’d inspect later.

He was working it all out in his head as he explained, as coded as his explanation was. He got there, displaced - and then was greeted by "the host". With what he knew the host had to have been the Genma themselves - the footsoldiers for had he met with the leader, the one whom truly hosts them at the infamous Oda manor then under one circumstance or another; they'd not be here speaking to each other at this time. Then another party stepped in: The Tengu Legion - and judging by the fact that Kirinji was sent back to them here he knew that it could have only been one of its members, Oyodo - for only a Mortal Blade could re-open the rift that bridged the two locations between one another at this time. But there was a detail that happened to linger on the lips of Izanagi as he contemplated its meaning: "Toyotomi" he repeated, tasting the flavor of the name on his lips in context with the situation. He'd not bother to speak his mind on the ruminations within regarding the matter, in earnest he did not quite understand what he would express if he were to decide to; either way he status report and recollection of events was good to have despite the fact that they did nothing for helping him to unravel the contents of an ongoing mystery in his head. He watched Kirinji as he walked over and started to disrobe - at first perplexed at the fact that the man did so. He was after all entirely serious about setting up a meeting with his tailor, Sakuya - and she was not here at the current. Would he just wait naked while things wrapped up here? Did he want Izanagi to paint him like one of his French girls? Or was this an elaborate lead into a very convoluted plan to attain the holy grail - Izanagi "DNA"? Folding his arms and looking up over his shoulder almost at an invisible entity he shook off the confusion and figured...welp - guess he'll just have naked people in his office till he gets Sakuya - and continued with Chowa; whom in his decision had taken up the amulet and subsequent items and confirmed that he was along for the ride. In doing so Takewa inhaled deeply and adjusted his tie...he couldnt seem to keep his eye on the subject at hand looking off towards where kirinji had walked off to and then off towards the windows; a distancing behavior - experiencing stress from the moment that Chowa had confirmed he was here through the danger and thus making a reality for him the worry that he had in the first place when it came to needing to protect him - it was apparent that his brain's limbic system was trying to distance from the stressor...the reality of his choice - a choice that could mean great pain on the journey ahead. The only rebuttal to this that he could offer was one of his own personal philosophies. Devout to the teachings of his mentor Heiwa, he too thought that life was precious - however in the time that he spent outside of his clan's presence watching after his kin from the shadows of the shinobi world's underbelly he had adapted a personal belief: "Sometimes to preserve life, you must cut away a cancer Chowa. This creature is no different." And in saying that he would look to Izanagi and nod his head. He knew what it was to happen next and he knew that Izanagi had other things to tend to at the moment. With that being said he would step back over to the lift and address Chowa: "If you've any questions to ask, now would be the best time. You're a long way from a fully fledged shinobi. So we have much we must do with the time." As he was saying this Kirinji at this point would have been emerged from behind the dressing-portal that had been off to the side. Izanagi folded his arms with an absent look of wonder on his face before nodding in approval at his appearance. "Perhaps it is you that could tell me tailor a few things." he obviously approved of the new appearance. With that there would come pause - set for Chowa to inquire further if need be before departing with Takewa and leaving him and Kirinji there to brief about what it was that must come next.
