Kasami was quiet and lost in thought when there was suddenly smoke amongst them. When she looked up, there was a woman standing in the place of Kirinji. She was ugly by no means, but not what she’d had in mind originally either. Unknowing of the connection of this feminine figure to her teammate, all she could do was hope it suited to Genichiro’s tastes and be satisfied that he at least had something in mind. Instructing a man on how to be like a woman was kind of awkward.
She’d definitely have waited for a little privacy before transforming, but there weren’t that many people around and from the looks of it- no one had been bothered to pay them any mind anyway. Nodding, she looked him up and down and then offered an approving smile. ”It works. I’m no expert on chakra control though, I’ll need us to be a little closer to where we need to before I transform. I don’t know how long I’ll be able to maintain it. I’ve never done it for a prolonged period of time before.”
In the meantime, she considered what she would transform to, and left that to be the only thing on her mind. Joining Sakuya at the gate, the roar of the crowd consuming the air, she couldn’t help but be shocked at just the sheer volume of people bustling through the center of the village. It made her wonder what drew them all there. Work? Shopping? What made people flock to central Kagetsuchi en masse? Was there nowhere else here that occupied attractions so there weren’t crowds like this? And then her mind went to a darker place. What would happen if the events of Kagane were to transpire here? The amount of blood that would pour from the sky. How deafening those screams would be- when Kagane had already left her ears ringing for days after. Kasami was stuck in her own head after trying so hard not to go there, just standing at the opened gate staring into the other side with a traumatized daze.
Not here. Nothing could happen here. Would Naraka’s people be able to come back from that? She was nervous about potential threats here, especially after having already run into Ai. Was anyone else from the Burning Dawn here?
